  2. I know that if someone upsets you, Hippie, they must be really bad. You are the most patient guy I know.
  3. I just realised I changed the title. Sorry, guys, bear with me...
  4. Thanks Quinn. I'll take a look.
  5. DQ Darwin wrote: Lia that's great, we all know how hectic it can be. Now the fun part making it your home. I actually enjoy that part the best. I was thinking 73 with the panelling You're 4 years out, but close enough for government work. Yes, after 10 years in rented accommodation it is so cool to demolish ugly things and replace them. BTW anyone know why the posts are not hitting my e-mail? It seems to be set up, but nothings coming through. Any advice gratefullty accepted.
  6. Hi Dillon. We'll teach you lot to speak English if it's the last thing we do!
  7. Hi Dee Thank you. The move went surprisingly well. My son and his pal helped and we were all shifted by mid-afternoon. And, believe it or not, unpacked in 5 days. It's a nice little house in a friendly street, and we're pretty happy.
  8. Hiya Quinn! I missed you all too, but my priorities have been somewhat changed recently. The house is great, but needs a lot of cosmetic work. Our bedroom was floor to ceiling wood panelling. Whoever installed it did what some installers do and put a date on it. I'm not telling you what the date was, but it was exactly eleven days after two guys called Neil and Buzz took a stroll a long way from here! Now it's gone, the walls are painted, the floors laid and the next project looms. Thank you for the kind words Quinn, it's nice to know I was missed. Huggggggs.
  9. I know of a lady who launches. Would she qualify?
  10. Jaen Albatros wrote: Wonderful poster and post Dillon. Hope this thread stays up okay...it's kind of a 'link' to her if ya know what i mean. To the negative posters out there..it would be so appreciated if you could refrain from posting here....like Dillon says, the harmless/dangerous debate has been done to death...we don't need to be told yet again that she did wrong, etc etc.....all we are doing is showing our support and that we miss her. Hang on in there Keli, we are not forgetting about you! Well said Jaen. We've all made mistakes. The answer is to learn by them. People griefing Keli just don't know what a sweet, funny and fun poster she is. Come back soon Keli. Hugggggggggs!
  11. /me sniffles too. Keli is much missed. The forums seem empty without her. FREE KELI!!!!

I feel bad for you that now you are missing parts to your story. Gosh Kelinda, you remind me of someone, but I just can't think who...

Not seen any of the problems you describe as of yet. --Cinn Hey Cinnamon. I moved up to V8 and all is now working. You get the points thanks. And, since I can now insert pix: Cupcakes!
  15. Baloo Uriza wrote: Anyone got any ideas? Like I said it works fine on Firefox, but not Windows Explorer. Explorer isn't as standards compliant as it could be. Firefox is a lot closer. You have to code websites specifically for Internet Explorer, whereas if you code to the standards, you're going to be covered for most users. Doubly true if you test on a variety of screen aspect ratios and resolutions as well. For a company that already supports a vareity of platforms and is considering targeting more, it doesn't make sense to write around the peculiarities of one specific web browser that only has decent support and any following on one of those platforms. Especially if the way the browser handles the basics keeps changing each version. Okay, thanks Baloo. I'm just more familiar with Explorer.

  19. AOXOMOXOA.Ansar wrote: forum software is for eggheads and lemmings. I prefer to stumble along, oblivious and ignorant to all that business and thus avoid major migranes so I figure it balances in the final analysis. Yesterday the land company i've been paying tier to for the last couple years to the tune of about 1000 USD/annum tell me I gotta move and pack up my 3750 prims and find somewhere else to live. Not a big deal, i guess, but it goes to show how SL mimics RL in many aspects. I got stuff to do in RL anyway and I prefer RL, anway, as I am ultimately the Captain of My own destiny and not subject to the whims of some pixel head (not that there's anything wrong with that, being a pixel head) Well you make these forums more fun, Moxie, so that's fine
  20. Peggy.Paperdoll wrote: I'm using IE 8 also and have not had the problems you are having. The only problem I do have is that once I click the "quote" icon to quote the post I'm referring to in my response, the spell checker and formatting tools (such as bold or italics) don't always work. However, that may be the time I've spent typing my response because that only seems to happen when I've paused from posting to do some real life stuff and come back a while later to finish what I was typing. I sort of written that off to the secure website these forums are on (which brings up a real question in my mind for the "why is it secure in the first place?"). What version of Internet Explorer are you using? Hi Peggy. That sounds similar to the problem I'm having with the quote button, but it happens when I press more than once. I'm on 7 so I'll try upgrading.
