Ok, maybe not that many people will be downgrading to Basic. 😄

Some people on these forums have said they'll be dropping some of their multiple Premium accounts though, and to Linden Lab any lost Premium subscriptions are a bad thing. Having an Economy level midway between Basic and Premium might also lure some Basic users into committing to a subscription, and then maybe spending more later.

    p.s.

I know I'm more likely to pay for a $ 5 subscription to a video streaming service than I am to pay for a $ 10 one, especially if I want to try it out for a while to see if I like it.

Multiple premium accounts, yes, I would think twice about dropping some down...especially if you have like, um, 20 of them or something :P  Although still, in comparison to what they already put out for those 20 accts, the state tax is nothing most likely

  2. "Note, I used to think 2 levels were plenty, but since they're raising the the cost of Premium by now adding state and local sales tax, I think many users will just downgrade to Basic."

I don't know about that.  For the state I live in, it will cost me $0.71 more per month for premium...that's peanuts

ETA: they won't be missing me as a subscriber

512 plots are pointless. I want all prims that I am able to get and the 512 newbrooke page lies telling you get 351 prims and you don’t. Anybody else notice this?

Yes, been that way from the start of release, someone made a big error.  All 512's are only 175 prims....

I have been working on my Newbrooke off and on since they were released.  I landed a very nice parcel that has a berm on the left side and on on the other side of the berm is a public swimming pool.  On the right side of the house is what looks to be a partial pond, or lake.  I say what looks to be as my house sits on the edge of a region, and beyond is nothing but void.  It is sure to be filled in by a region at some point.   The parcel is a keeper for me.

I have been working on the inside and I am sure to change it around and rethink things, but, the one thing I wanted more than anything were waterfalls  at the windows of the Bradbury.  I finally have those done and will now go on to complete the front garden.  I am thrilled with the way this looks, and thought I would share.

I want to thank LL, Patch, and the Moles for a job well done on this new build.  I couldn't be more happier.  Thank you.

At the risk of sounding foolish (which is fine because I kind of am) How does one de-render an object. I see all of you talking about it and I've always wondered how it's done. Thank you!

Not foolish at all, we all have to learn sometime :)  In Firestorm, you right click on whatever object you want to derender, and look at the pop-down for the derender option.  If using the SL viewer, I'm not familiar with it, but I'm sure someone will come along behind me and advise.

  6. Hi all :)

Yesterday & again today, I get an invite to join a group and hit join, but it does not show up in my list of groups and my group tag doesn't change.  Anyone know if there is a problem lately with this?

ETA:  I have group slots available

I set myself a Friday night challenge - furnish a 512 using items from one shop only. I chose Spargel & Shine and apart from a couple of item re-uses think it came out ok! (still have prims left)- now I need to sleep for a thousand years Zzzzzzz
