Started getting IM spam after touching a rental kiosk. I contacted the owner but he wouldn't be bothered turning it off. Would be nice to see a case come out through SL, reminding them, and all that as a US California company, they would be bound by US law on the issue. Including disclosure of rl names and contact information. One charge, covered by the papers, could do a lot of good.

Thanks for the tips, I loaded Firestorm, and its pretty good. Kind of a best of V2 and V1 haha. And consider that the coolness of using an integrated AO is I can switch them quickly. So a guy like me could, and does purchase several to try and use. The best stands I combine into a Best-Of AO set.

A second monitor gives me a place to put the Camtasia menu. But the 24" monitor is so hi res, I could make the viewer window smaller and fit the Camtasia menu under it. As mentioned in the SL wiki, a 2nd monitor is going to use more of the graphics card. So if I needed to maximize resources, I should disable it for recording. OTOH, if course its nice to have my email and stuff open in one monitor while I mess in SL in full screen on the other monitor.

Perhaps I should reduce screen size for these. Using Space Navigator for the 1st time Edited with Vegas Pro 9 I've got about everything poss turned on in graphics - shadows etc. The long pole in the tent clearly is my Internet connection, which is DSL at 3.9-5.5 Mbps So maybe to help with low frame rates is slow down the camera movement, and if need be speed it back up in editing. But that won't help with things that are moving in world.

I started using the SL viewer finally, to benefit from the "physics" and the good handling of Outfits. I got so used to integrated animation overriders AO (in Emerald and Imprudence) its only after a week I realize there is no integrated AO with the sl viiewer.. is there? Crud. So I will have to drag my animation sets and and cards BACK out of inventory and into one of those old-fashioned HUDS.. rats pita

1badmofo Resident - profile is funny to. So what is it with people with numbers in their names (like Kitty63 Resident). Does LL not give them the opportunity to back up and try another name? Best advise I would give them is, stop while you are new. Get a new name!

What, you can't return to owner? If you don't have the rights to do that, I would look for a place where you have proper control. How long does it take to move? Tell the landlord to fix it or you are gone. This is why we don't "buy" Linden Land, right?

I have a nice HUD with animations. Have been using it more than a year. With Emerald, Imprudence, SL 2.x. No problems. I rez it on the ground. I can see it. I added some animations, as I have done before. I pick it up. No prob. When I wear it, its in Upper R corner. Then I get the idea to attach it somewhere else. So in Imprudence I detach it, and from inventory I use "Attach to HUD - Top". And now I can't see it. I tried on Center, and other places. Can't see it. I try view transparent. Don't see it. But it is being worn. Its in Bold on the Inventory list, Its on the Worn Items List. I detach it, its back in inventory (so it didn't fly off somewhere). I can rez it on the ground. I tried reset scripts in selection. Did not work. Same problem in SL 2.6 viewer. Other HUDs are visible fine Appreciate any ideas.
