There are 104 drawings per year. Matching 4 numbers pays 10K, 5 numbers is 250K, you don't need to win the jackpot.
I think that if a person can control themselves, $104 per year is not a lot to spend, plus you get a chance to dream a little.

I don't know. Does the transaction show up at your dashboard account page? You could contact the merchant. If the issue persist you could submit a case with Support. You could try using an Alt or ask a friend. I'm not inworld atm otherwise I would test purchase the item.
Maybe another Resident here has a solution.

I think additional tools in Feed would be helpful.
I don't like twitter.

I suggest dismissing all comments and deleting the account. Another option is to create hundreds of alt accounts and comment on your own tweets so that you will tell yourself what you want to hear.
Timeout. I’ve often wanted a tool that operates like block with a time limit: blocking another user for a day or a two and then unblocking. This would be a great way to short-circuit a hot argument without implementing a long-term block once people have cooled down.
Timeout will help you to save face when you've lost an argument that you never really cared about in the first place.
Spike. I also frequently use this technique, which I call a “spike”: blocking someone, forcing them to unfollow me, and then unblocking them again so there’s no trace. This is a workaround; I’d rather just have the ability to remove myself from someone else’s follow list without notification. It’s like leaving a party without saying goodbye.
One word, coward.
Negative Feedback, Positive Reinforcement. Twitter should be monitoring accounts that get blocked a lot (or receive other negative feedback) for sudden jumps in activity. If a user gets carried away, goes off the deep end, or misses their meds, then Twitter could step in: “Hey, we’ve noticed you’re getting a lot of negative feedback today. Are you okay?” Sometimes just getting noticed is enough to calm someone down and defang vitriol.
Will Papa Twitter also read bed time stories to me? If I fall, is there a twitter bandage? Defanged is a good word choice by the author of the article. It means that you started crap with someone who you thought was a worm and they turned out to be a Viper.
Block List and Redress. Twitter’s block is still incomplete. Where is the page that shows all the people I’m blocking? There isn’t one. How can a user send a polite appeal to a user to get unblocked? They can’t. Twitter should finish building the feature it already has before changing its core functionality altogether.
"ALL the people I'm blocking". Exactly how many humans has this person found conflict with? At any point, is it possible that a person who is blocking 500 people. is the problem?
Appeal? How can the person who blocked me, apologize to me. I'm not appealing anything. The author of the story must be something really special.

Only competent parties may accept the Terms of Service. Users are responsible for their accounts. There is a Bills of Exchange Act and it is the reason why LL created a transactions page for Residents. There are international monetary policies and that is why MP merchants need to file forms for the IRS. There are Federal mandates established by the State Department on how, who, and where funds can be transferred and that explains the hoops in getting L$. Money is a form of consideration and is considered by the Courts as a cause for action.
I completely agree that going to Court for $36 bucks is Wasting the plaintiff's time and it is definitely wasting the court's time. My comment was only a reminder to any Resident who may suffer a significant L$ loss in SL, that there is recourse. This isn't a lawless world. Our comments may be archived here for some time.

The lottery recently added another ball to to the drawing. They did that because if you count the numbers of time each ball has been drawn, there is a pattern. Some numbers have not been drawn for more than a year, and other numbers are drawn almost weekly.
Prior to the changes, I think there was 149 million possible combinations using the number set they had. If you purchased 149 million tickets, you would win. That was fine for small lotteries of 149M and under.
A friend who is not a scientist, claimed that the balls are all equal in weight. The balls may be equal in pounds or ounces, but they are not molecularly identical.
If I complete steps 1-4, is the winning the lotto #5? :smileylol:

The cash value sum is currently 295 Million.
The full amount is paid in a 20 year annuity. The tax is 30% If you don't make any major purchases with the money for 1 year, the tax rate is slightly reduced. The government is one of the winners, yes.
A high percentage of Lottery winners are broke within 1 year of winning. Some end up dead from their own indulgence in finer things.
I might do what Larry Flint and Howard Hughes did, lock myself in a room until I figure out what I want to do.

I don't know why. If you think it is bug, you could report it. It never hurts to submit a case with Support, if you find a solution you could close the case.
All I can recommend is to type things out in notepad, and copy and paste into Group messages. Maybe it will stay open long enough.

Choose Me > Preferences and click on the General tab to choose the maturity rating of content you want to see.
The system will use the date of birth you originally provided when you created the account.

I'm sure that many people in the States who play the lotto are aware of the current jackpot of $550 million. The amount will likely grow before Tuesday's drawing.
Mega Millions is bi-weekly lottery with 43 US States participating. The current lottery is higher than the GDP of many Nations.
I don't like to gamble. I give the money to a friend who buys the tickets for me.
It is possible to win without buying a ticket. You could find a ticket or someone could give you a ticket.
The winner will probably be some old person. If so, I hope it's one of the old people in my family. :smileyvery-happy:

The answer to that question is elementary, creativity in SL is essential to economic growth in SL.
There are many Groups in SL which foster creativity but unfortunately, many of the Groups only help to teach you how to do everything all by yourself.
To bring a product to market, a Resident must complete the following. I might be missing a step or 3.
- Conceptualize a product
- Draft and design
- Build the object
- Texture the object
- Script the object
- Animate the object
- Package the object
- Capture photos
- Write listings
- Set permissions
- List on MP
- Deal with customers
- Get paid
- Get copied
- Learn about DMCA
- File reports
I would like to just build, and let scripters' script, and texturers' texture etc. The permissions do not allow for this. I can follow all the suggested Grouping methods but it all comes down to having to rely on trust. If I give a building to a Resident who sells on MP I just have to trust that they will continue to share a percentage if an item sells.
2-12 on my list represents work that can be delegated to others. Works that specialist can do better than any Jack of all trades ever could.
The Lab
I don't know what the Lab is doing. An Itemized receipt would be very helpful.
The fact that SL exist is a sign that creativity is considered as important.
There are many resources, almost everything is free.
Some favoritism does exist and some of it is contractual. MP was planned from top to bottom, creating various algorithms to give one data set preference over another. Bay City, Zindra, the roads waterways and rails, West Haven are reasons why I would support some kind of commerce center built by LDPW.
The project could be like the LH, the builds could be Offices. Any Resident with a MP account could get one.
A second option allowing greater freedom could be a project like Bay City but without double prims. The idea is to create activity amongst Merchants and to offer destination for Residents who have an idea but it is undeveloped and not ready for market.
The thread discussion creating a movie industry is very similar.

I recommend trying to get SL running in 1 window first.
Have you tried using the Firestorm viewer?
If there were changes to the Terms of Service and a window is trying to open but you don't have the plug-in, that may be possible.
In past changes to the TOS, my start up would stall whilst my firewall was alerting me that sl plug-in is attempting to access the internet deny or allow.
You should avoid installing or trying to set anything 50 times. If you cannot find a fix in 1-3 attempts, check back here, or consider contacting Support to submit a case.

There are many features in SL that can be improved upon. The original method of boxed delivery was created by the makers of SL, Linden Lab. There were many reasons for doing that at the time, most of the reasons involve Object Permissions for the next owner.
Selling objects in SL, and the methods and options for doing so are still in a transitional stage. Direct inventory delivery may eventually be the only option for new merchants who want to list an item. Some very old items may be exempt and will continue to be delivered boxed. Time will tell.
I have always advocated for a Market Place Sandbox. Residents who purchase items at MP would automatically receive a Landmark to one of the sandboxes.
Tutorial Islands have always been a disaster. There was a time when Residents had to learn how to escape the island, you had to perform so many task that some people just gave up, never having even left the island.
You have good reasons to be critical of your experience. Part of the reason why I visit this forum is because I believe that there are better ways in which SL could operate. I've attempted to avoid making any suggestions for you to follow because I am aware of and recognize many of the issues you've stated.
I like SL because there is so much to learn, so many things to see and a few things I didn't need to see.

If creating an Alt allows you to login, that typically means that there is an Inworld error with the first avatar you created.
The avatar might be stuck inworld in what is called a Ghost avatar. The last location the avatar visited may be having a problem, preventing that avatar from logging out. (try logging in at a Region named Smith)
It could be something that avatar is wearing. It could be a Group tag that is no longer active.
You should consider contacting Support to submit a case for a login issue.

If the Region is offline, you would need to submit a case with Support. Request for the Region to be re-opened so that you may collect your items.
The Resident who accepted your funds, does have a Contract with you. You have legal options outside of SL, but those options can be costly. If the Resident doesn't live in the same Country as you, that can further complicate matters.
When I rent land, I only rent week to week. I look for land dealers who own multiple Regions, and who are long standing members of SL.
