  1. Login to second life and turn auto-update off. Look in preferences settings. Save settings and log out.

Perform a clean removal of the second life program.

Install the latest SL viewer from the official second life download page.

    Start the program and login.

  2. I'm not an avid shopper. I only visit MP when I need something for a build project. I have made significant purchases in the past and I started as an Xstreet customer.

I cannot recall all of my suggestions. Some of the features may already exist.

    Sort by average price, Mid.

Default relevance should be... by relevance. Did I miss something there?

    Create a verified Merchants program.

Limit the number of items Residents less than 30 days old can list.

Prohibit listings wherein the only significant difference is the Color.

Walmart, Kmart, Target, Sears, Ebay, these are good examples of sites that work.

Create a program like the Linden Homes and offer Merchants a Linden Office Suite.

Create a Merchant Icon to be used in a Merchant's Inworld profile.

I tried to avoid suggesting for anything to be fixed. You don't need a survey to tell you what you already know. I consider myself a buyer and not a seller.

Outside of SL, MP, LL, Paypal, and the banks, is me and my money. I am the source of the funds.

    Sincerely,

    The Customer

  3. They also say that the key to longevity is everything in moderation.

Finding newness and originality requires a degree of imagination or luck. Both actions are complimentary to the other.  Luck is a mechanism of happenstance in which the recipient receives a small trinket or toy. Novelty is the fleeting amusement provided by provoking imagination.

An unfortunate truth is that genius never tires. I get tired sometimes and log out if I am not making productive use of the resources. We can't all be geniuses. Really smart people usually smell bad, like musty linen or parchment.

I joined SL with reason, it is only natural to enjoy it.

The niche was exactly where I expected it to be. I did not have to search for it.

Incorporation of novelty outside of SL? Maybe you live in Iowa or Siberia. SL is in RL, it is a novelty of RL. Your question confuses me.

There is a sunrise with every new day. That is novel enough for me.

  4. One step is to check that the computer meets the system requirements. I will add links.

Checking that the graphics card has current drivers is another important step.

The Firewall on the computer is the 3rd most likely issue which can prevent the viewer from opening and running SL.

The pc specifications, os and the type of graphics card would be helpful in trying to find a solution.

Knowing any error messages you might have received, or how far along in the process your getting, could help to isolate the issue.

University or campus networks may be blocking SL.

If you want to give these steps a try, we can try to help.

  5. There are instances where some group tier contributions need to be shuffled around in order to avoid going to the next tier level. If you think this may be the case, you can reference section .3.2 in the link. I've had to temporarily remove contributions from one group in order to facilitate additional land acquisition.

  6. The short answer is yes. The longer answer is there isn't a popular presence in SL specifically geared towards creating informative articles about vgt. You could have a monopoly. Realistically, you should focus finding an existing SL news media, blogsite, website and contact the publisher/editor and hope they like your work. Use inworld search to find news media.

A link to the employment category. You could review some of the ads and either respond to an ad or place your own ad.

If you create an ad in the employment forum, be sure to use a spell check and edit the post if you discover any errors. You can edit a post by clicking on Options on the right side of the window.

  7. A private region is private. A visiting resident may be ejected by the region owner/manager at anytime for any reason, or for no reason at all. Land settings may change at anytime.

I wouldn't worry about any AR's an unwelcome visitor may file. If the region managers recognize the TOS and the community standards all will be good.

I don't know much about the latest security gadgets.

  8. I'm disappointed with the response you received from Support. Although, requesting for land to be made available for sale, is a hit or miss opportunity.

Did you already state if you own land in that region? I'm curious about the qualifications LL is using.

I had a request approved, I owned land in the region, the plot I wanted to buy was adjacent, the last Owner's Profile was showing in search as no longer available.

There are opportunities out there, stay positive.

  9. My opinion on what LL's unofficial non-response will be:

    1. Did you know this was going on? Yes, what did you want us to do? We are a business that operates with permission from a State. In the heightened terror war, you're either with the government, or you are a harbor of terrorism and you deserve to be shunned by all of humanity.

    2. Will you sign on and endorse the USA Freedom Act, as Microsoft, Apple, Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo and DOZENS of others have, denouncing this activity and calling for legislation to put an end to it? We have no intention of supporting an Act that will make something that is already prohibited, unlawful.

    3. As every bit of this data collection is in direct violation of the TOS and Community Standards, will you BAN any accounts engaged in this warrantless surveillance activity? No, we will not ban them. Users are responsible for their accounts. Should any agency contracted to perform services for the federal government violate the civil liberties of another person, that agency is wholly liable for the actions of its agents.
