  1. Two links. The first is to a discussion wherein my response to that Resident is the same advice I would share with you. The second link is to the People section of this Forum, you could review some of the discussions in Relationships and Role play categories to get an idea of some of the possibilities.

  2. In another thread here, I have expressed my opinion that although the abandoned land recovery process is an excellent addition, it has not opened up significant amounts of previously enjoyed lands which have been empty for years.

We are just recycling the same plots. I realize that on the grand scale, every plot in SL is technically being recycled.

Every plot needs to be reviewed independently to be certain that it is in the best interest of SL to sell it. The last Resident to own the land has expressed the most interest in owning it because they already bought it once.

Many of the mainland plots from the Zindra migration may be available by contacting support. I forget how I was identifying those plots, I think some stated in the land description that they moved to zindra. It's about looking at profiles and seeing who owned it last. Case by Case :smileywink:

I agree that good mainland is too expensive. To find anything good you need to scan the map everyday for a month and hope you beat the bots.

I have had positive results with Support. I have had offers excepted by owners of land that wasn't being offered. A kind beetle once gave me list of all the plots they were selling to make it easier for me to pick one.

My experience is that you can list what you want, and what you will pay, someone will try to make that deal.

An informal list of my land likes:

    • West facing
    • Waterfront
    • Sailable adjacent regions
    • 75% Flat land with Northwest coastal green lawn
    • + / - 40 M terrain
    • 2x's protected, water in the west, linden road in the east.
    • Regional significance - intersection, peninsula, bay, cove, island, mount
    • Neighbors with an equal or greater land investment in the Region
    • Linden owned open spaces, adjacent or contained.
    • Mature or General rated

That's about all I can think of atm.

  3. I don't know if there should be a transaction history for that event. You could look at your dashboard. If there is supposed to be a history, you could request a copy from the merchant so that you can file that information with Support.

If you have selected a premium membership, choose any category that is similar to your issue.

  4. There can be many SL and RL reasons why land is abandoned.

In some instances the land is connected to the fees due on the account.

I support a Case by Case policy on abandoned land recovery.

Pay the fees to re-activate your account and p.s. we sold your land.

  5. You're losing me at the yahoo email linked to SL won't allow you to choose new password.

When you ask for SL to reset the password, SL sends an email to the email linked to the account. When you open that email, it takes you to a SL page. At that page you create a new password. I don't understand how yahoo is involved?

Does it say too weak regardless of the complexity?

This is such a fascinating thread. No one is answering to the topic and questions I'm bringing up about privacy.  But sarcasm is all I get and just general childish antics.

I scanned through the thread and it appears that you have only asked one question, over and over.

Quote: "Now tell me why again it's OK for people to read your private messages?"

    It is not OK.

Spying on everyone is just a way of governing mental states. We got wars that need to be popularized and funded, so we need bogeymen.

  7. You're funny. :smileylol:

I don't think Linden Lab would even allow me to wash coffee cups in the break room. It is possible that my request for a piggyback ride, placed any employment opportunities in question, or it was peeing in the garbage can, idk.

  8. The strategic/talented/skilled selections look like the most fun, I want to be one of those. I'm not normal.

My typing and grammar have improved.

Meeting chatting and befriending Residents from Poland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Australia and several other Nations, has helped to prove that  we live a small World. We are more alike than we are not.

Emotionally:  What do you tell a SL with two black eyes? Nothing, it has already been told twice.

We have a reputation? I joined a long time ago. I had never heard of SL prior to that. I'm vanilla on many things.

I think I understand the problem. There is a good you tube video that may help to explain why a creative person might not tell his WoW buddies that he has a SL account.
