I really like the hair and the jewelry. It would look so good on one of my alts. Where is it from please?

  2. My opinion, I prefer Belleza Jake body.

I have Catwa heads on all my male alts, simply because many great skin creators don't make Omega or any other appliers.

I would say that you should look at skins - male skins on the Marketplace and see if you find a face you like first, and what appliers is made for it.

While you can find body appliers all over, it is a whole different world for male mesh heads. And Catwa is more than the Daniel head. Skell, Victor, Stanley, Shaheen and Dino. Shaheen head, is shown here:

If you love this skin, but you already bought a head from another creator you are out of luck, because that skin is only legit available for Catwa. There are some stolen skins with Omega appliers on the MP, they don't have a demo, the stores sell a lot of skins around 100-200L from many different brands - the sellers and the brand names does not match.

Animation HUD and bento heads should be separated. With the advent of the bento system, the variety of mesh heads became really many and more interesting. However, on the wave of the newest system, the creators clearly overpriced their products. In contrast heads with a frame system, where the animation needed to be created for each head, the bento system simplified this by applying the same animation to any bento head. Earlier, frame heads were sold separately with animations and I think it's right to also divide and animation to bento heads. The first to decide do this was LAQ. At the beginning their heads were worth 5000L each. Now the head costs only 1500L and the HUD is sold separately for 3000L. It is very convenient if you want to have many heads. With other creators(Catwa,Lelutka,Vista,Logo,Akeruka) whose heads cost 5000L and are inseparable HUD to buy another one is not profitable, you overpay for the same HUD and animation to each head. May I hope to change this system of the future?  Can we change this?  I understand that the creators are interested only in profit, but.

Shoulda, woulda, coulda. Creators sell and we buy.

Animations created for one head does not look good on other brands. So creators should sell cheap HUDs separate and include different versions for all heads? Why not, since we can demand and demand. /eyeroll

They don't work for free. I love to get offers, promos and sales, but it is up to the seller.

I've been saying for ages that I'll get around to tweaking Catwa's Margeaux head, which I thought would lend itself very well to an andro look. Today I finally got around to it, and - with the new skin I picked up at Something Extra event - I'm absolutely loving the result.

That is a realistic nose. I never see Margaux heads in reviews, maybe because girls only want itty bitty tiny noses? If you ever have time, I would love a profile picture.

I use my Maitreya hud too much to not have it attached..

Same for the hud with whatever head I'm using at the time..

What does ankle lock do anyways, stop them from bending too far out of position in poses or something?

When the pose creator has made a pose with a tiptoe default foot, and you wear a mesh high foot, then the pose makes the feet bend back so the ankle looks broken. Ankle lock keep the ankle straight. I have some cheap ankle locks. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/StrawberrySinghcom-Broken-Ankle-Fix-Ankle-Lock/7068127

And there is one in the Maitreya HUD, it is just working poorly.

The trick is to look for dramatic imbalance between Download and Server weights (because Physics is usually negligible unless the Mesh creator is very lazy), and then link complementary imbalances.

This can result in a dramatic reduction in total LI, and it's best to look for those big wins because linking causes fractional weights to sum, losing the benefit of rounding. (e.g., a 1.4 weight linked to a 1.4 totals 2.8 - so 3 LI linked instead of 2 unlinked.)

Well, I am sure it is possible to check this before I buy or try to link items. I have no knowledge of how to do it, and in my personal opinion, a reduction in 1 LI is not worth spending the time doing this research over. When I link something, I can not know if it's 0,9 LI and I must link 11 identical ones to get 1 LI saved. If I link a 1,3 LI item to this group, then I have 12 separate objects and it's 13 LI. The LI has increased with one. I see this more than once and it is a waste of time.

I know of the mathematics and some advertise it - their product is 0,5 Li and they advertise "Link 2 and it is still 1 LI". To get some numbers that matter, I will have to link a lot of landscaping items - just an example of products without poses - and I see no drastic effects. Since I change often, it is harder to edit a big set of linked items, must select both the tree trunk and the foliage and move it, or unlink several parts and hope I don't unlink the other trees foliage.

For me, a reduction in less that 10 LI is not worth the effort, for a room or a garden. Candles often have a flame, the candle itself and the holder, to take off one candle from a group is selecting and unlinking three small parts, or either delete all the candles and rez new ones. And if the candles is linked to the table, the flowers and the mat... well. It is just me, I suppose if I had a very low LI number free to decorate, I would invest the time.

I think it's worse than that, isn't it? I was thinking about this yesterday, in fact: I don't think you're allowed to link no-copy with no-transfer. And for me that poses a problem because I'm forever linking stuff together in order to shrink Land Impact: some things are Download-heavy while others are Server-heavy, and by linking them together they may "absorb" each other's specific weights and total much less than the sum of their individual LI's.

It can't be linked, that is true. On the other side, I find that linking to save LI is exaggerated. I can link 25 items with a total of 45 LI and the LI drop two points. It isn't worth it, especially if it is animated items involved.

I started not keeping that HUD attached unless I'm actually using it, which removed my usual ankle lock - took me a whole day to realize why my ankles were no longer locking.  I did find a few freebies on the MP that see to work very well.

Yes, with my HUD in favorites and a gesture to lock the ankles, that should free up 1 attachment spot.

While I agree that conversation between any kind of avi is awesome and should be encouraged, if someone wants something more specific,it's expected to point out what are their likes and dislikes. Judging someone by what they out on their profile have been proven as bad since one won't give the other the chance to really know their reasons behind anything written there.

I myself have that on my profile, but it's entirely about adult activities, I will never deny conversation with any kind of avi, friendship or whatsoever, but I will definitely not engage anything more intimate with someone I don't find attractive, simple as that and I take it the majority of the people adding that kind of info in their profiles have about the same ideas: kinky stuff.

    +1.

I have an alt that goes to places with adult activity. Those places swarm with avatars who don't make an effort at all. If you want to get some with my alt, default feet and orange freebie male"attachment" is not a good idea. I am not there to hand out some charity to men who are too cheap to call some who is paid per minute instead.

Hypocrisy is the thing there, they are not in mesh, but goes straight for the females in all mesh. So to snub them is to hold up a mirror, turn their behavior back on them.

    omg so many things

You know you can pull scripts from things and put them in other things ?

Passed you full perm gesture from Marine Kelly's cuffs that fix this when you press F9 .. it only happens when you sit on something anyway.

Oh yeah! Can I get one too? The Maitreya ankle fix ( in the HUD) is so weak, it does not hold for any sit poses.

I did not know you could make outfits with no copy items.

Anyhow, I'm glad I asked because it's good to know.

And, this question really wasn't about Gacha or Gatcha.  Those just are no copy/transfer items.  I'm okay with Gacha, personally.  Though Gacha is a different discussion altogether.

    Thanks so much for replying!

    Ok, not speaking of gacha:

Things to rez, copy. Unless it is cheap and buying more than one is easy with a click on MP. Every time something is rezzed, it is a risk. I had an adult engine - a transparent prim to rez over pg beds - and every time I rezzed it, I was nervous if SL would eat it or not.

Things to wear: No need for copy.

The entire picture its self was taken in world by me. It's an ad from a  clothing event.

I would say that the designer of the shirt has photoshopped in a real life torso. I never saw anything close to that skin.

Hope @Skell Daggerwill come in the forums today.

The part that made my friend say no to all the skins we found was this

    objection.png.2fd069fe4d5ef29319eaa4e0355d3f1e.png

He really disliked that line drawn from hip to pelvis.

Yes, that V is so popular among creators. Even those who don't paint eightpacks on the skin. It's a bit annoying. I like variation, and this is always there.

  14. I used to be a girl who bought only copy.

Now I am into gacha, and they are no copy.

I like transfer clothes, so I can send it to an alt. I see no risk of loosing wearables, since if a folder is lost in Inventory, it is lost no matter what permissions it had. I lost a whole folder of copy clothes.

I used to mod much more before, and then I needed copy in case I accidentally ruined some. I don't bother to mod gacha wearables.

For Inventory, I want to have copy for full priced items.

I never buy expensive gacha items. I buy second hand gacha. Last years gacha still look great, and people dump prices to get rid of them.

A year past the op, and I can announce with pride that it's the mesh-heads I still laugh at. They, to me, are just fish-lipped samey-clones. I've always found them coarse and ugly, made as they are by "creators" with no grasp of what constitutes human beauty. IMHO, a system head and traditional skin (very important) are the only ways to retain individuality in SL.

Green is not a good color for you.
