The easiest way to remove yourself from what you think is suspicious behavior is to TP home or someplace else. It's not like they can make you do anything you don't want to do. Enjoy.

Sorry, I do not know of any blog that covers events or games like that. Have you tried searching for some groups affiliated with games you have played or events you've attended in the past? Active group members can be very informed and able to help.

I've been wearing my Maitreya Lara mesh body for about two weeks straight now and have had no issue going from sim to sim. I do not wear the HUD unless I am messing with the alphas or tweaking the neck. Otherwise, it is off. I don't know why you would want to keep the HUD on all of the time. Not necessary.

Getting in touch with the vendor is your best bet. Also, there are two hairs in the photo and you didn't say whether you were interested in the men's hair or the women's hair.
Tip: Once you find out who to contact, check their profile to see how they want to be contacted (i.e., IM, notecard, customer service rep) and use the method they specify. You're much more likely to get a response.

If you're unhappy, make some changes. Except for one eleven-month break, I DJ'ed in SL from 2007 until mid-year 2015. I had burned out. It was fun while it was fun and then it stopped being fun and became a burden. I stopped and my SL is lighter; I'm free to snap photos (my new SL 'hobby'). I don't use PS but I have fun. Isn't that what counts?

That's partly because custom jobs like this are often not worth the time invested. If you happen to find someone willing to take you on, make sure your contract is specific with regards to deliverables and payments. It's possible a designer would want 50% payment up front due to the time investment involved. Additionally, you would need a skin applier for your custom head. I don't know who might make that for you.

Sure, there are loads of those 'jobs' in SL but you don't have to be beholden to someone else for your income if you have or learn a skill. There are a ton of free classes offered by many groups inworld. Do a search under Events > Education and you'll find many. Good luck!

I've not recommended SL to anyone. I've told a couple of friends about it and one niece used to listen to my stream when I DJ'ed.

My SL boss dislikes prim babies and one of his dancers had the temerity to produce one. She appeared at the club, babe in arms, and he asked me to get rid of 'it'. She approached me to share her joy and, after an 'oooh and ahhh', I suggested that it would not be a good idea to expose the tender prim to the loud music and cigarette smoke in the club. She poofed and I never saw said prim again.

FYI for any future similar issues: the best way to contact a seller is to check their profile to see how they want to be contacted. It could be 1) send me an IM or 2) send a notecard or 3) contact my customer service rep <name of rep> or nothing!
Don't wait a long time before contacting the seller because they most likely will want your transaction information for that transaction and it will remain on your dashboard for only a short time (32 days).

You might try Analog Dog (AD) or Vanity for hair similar to those you posted. I did not see a turtleneck photo in your OP but you can find turtlenecks at many shops and on the Marketplace.

So, the popularity of clubs wax and wane. When I first started as a DJ at Ambrosia in 2007 I was happy with a 'crowd' of 15. Have you tried Rez? It seems to be experiencing a popularity boom. Good luck.

Any L$ spent will show on your transaction history on your Dashboard (go to Account > L$ Transaction history). You can verify if L$100 was removed from your account on that item on MP. I would first recheck that item on MP to make sure that it's posted as L$10 and not L$100.
