For what its worth ... A quick look at the SL Marketplace site shows several instances of swastikas in the context of WWII costumes. Also a several instances of a non-swastika symbol on an armband of an otherwise accurate Nazi costume.

This has happened to me several times, but only in a certain laggy sim. So my guess is that it has more to do with the server than the viewer. Govinda's suggestion about titles makes a lot of sense, if it is indeed a server side problem.

In group info, uncheck the box "recieve group notices".

I've been keeping track of how much data I use for SL. It does depend on what I am doing - e.g. how many TP's to different regions, draw distance, streaming music or not - but over time, I find that it takes me about 150 MB/hour to play SL. Sometimes, less than 100, rarely but occasionally over 200, but on average, right around 150 MB. This is measured data, not a guess or opinion.

Been here for over 4 years. Very active, on SL for an hour or two nearly every day. But.... I have never been caged, or shot, or hurled into the sky, unless I am in a sim that I went to intentionaly, knowing they featured that kind of play. What am I doing wrong? I keep hearing tales of grief and bullies, but I have yet to find it on my own.

I have a pair of boots that came with 130 scripts in each of 4 pieces, almost all of them resize. I have other toys that take about 100 scripts, and with more than 500 running, I found that I could hardly teleport at all. Now the boots did let you remove the resize scripts, and if fact had a script that automatically removed them after wearing thm for an hour. I wish the maker had mentioned the problem a bit more prominantly, but then again I do not always read the notecards thoroughly... Since then, I have played around a bit and I find that somewhere around 400 scripts, I start to have trouble TP in, at least for the sims that I tend to visit. I imagine that if I were trying to TP to an empty sim, there would be less of an issue. Now that I know about the problem, I take off toys that I am not using, and usually run less than 100.

Well, 2.3 was unusable on my machine, it crashed much to often. And when it did work, it had maybe 2/3 the framerate as the latest Phoenix in a moderately crowded sim. I'll keep my fingers crossed that 2.4 works better...

So its true, I heard inworld but did not, could not believe it. Anyone who feels like it, really will be able to set their display name to be the same as mine. My identity, built up over close to 4 years, flushed down the toilet, just like that. O tempora, O mores.
