  4. This thread made me curious enough to check. Going back a month from today, Marketplace item sales made up 7.7% of my total combined in world and marketplace sales. 0L$ sales (like my free eye color in each line of eyes, or other item demos) are not included. Factors to consider: I don't have anywhere near my full selection of products listed on Marketplace, so keep that in mind. None of my human mesh eyes are listed on MP, and only half of my human system eyes are listed. Eyes (human, neko, and petite) are 90+% of my total sales. With nearly 140 colors in each of my two main eye series, it's a lot easier to shop the eyes in world where you can see them all on the wall at once arranged by color spectrum; MP doesn't allow that sort of organization for the customer. There are lots of things you can do to drive sales through your in world location including customer conveniences, in store gifts, and other specials. Side notes: LL needs to let us exclude 0L$ Marketplace transactions from getting an email notification; that got old really fast. They also need to give us better filters on Marketplace Reports (all categories) - the ability to filter out 0L$ transactions and look up sales by searching item description or customer name are a must.
  5. The default behavior on this really needs to be changed so that if we upload a new folder to DD that has the same name as an existing DD listing, it will overwrite that existing listing. Manually associating the new upload is yet another example of too many clicks needed to perform tasks on Marketplace.

Pamela Galli wrote: I can pretty much guarantee that it never occurred to any of the devs working on DD that merchants update their products -- although we have mentioned this here before, at least I have. Remember for the marketplace initially there was no way to choose an item to associate -- we begged for that for months before we got it. But those devs are I am sure long gone so we have to explain everything all over again to this latest crop. I am always adding something, updating something, fixing something, and putting it in the magic box. I don't rename it unless it is a major update of some kind. I mean literally hardly a day goes by that I don't do this. Exactly! And why we need to be able to automatically overwrite existing DD folders with the new ones if they have the same name.
  7. Inara Pey wrote: My own experience has been that if anything is changed within a folder & the folder is re-uploaded to SLM, there is no automatic re-association with the original listing; you have to a manually associate the new upload of the folder with the listing and delete the older folder from UNASSOCIATED. This appears to be the case even if the folder name is left unchanged. I found this out after realising I had a number of products with outdated notecards after doing my initial folder upload to convert from using my MB. Even though it was only the notecards that were changed (folder names remained unchanged), in each and every case, I had to manually re-link the newly-upload folder to the listing in order to get the updated notecards when running a test delivery. This is covered in a bit of a throwaway line in the Migration guide: Automatic association may fail if an existing listing's associated item has already been manually changed, which may often occur as a result of product updates. However, in the context, it seems to only apply to migration, rather than in all cases, as appears to be the situation. Anyway else finding this? This really needs to be changed to overwrite the existing DD folder with the newly uploaded folder if the names are exactly the same. It would be easy for them to make this one thing a lot less work for us when we need to make small changes to the contents in the future.
  8. It would be a lot better if when you upload a folder of exactly the same name as an existing DD folder if it overwrote the old one instead of needing to be manually reassociated.
  9. Not the magic box listing, but overwriting an existing DD item/listing.
  10. If I reupload a copy of a DD folder without changing the name (old and new names match), will it overwrite a currently associated DD item and attach itself to the proper listing? I'm hoping the answer is yes. Overwrite would be a lot easier in case we want to change a landmark in the folder or add a notecard or something. That way there's no reassociating to do on the website.
  11. That's what I mean by the site behaving badly. Before that started I was able to bulk-delete a bunch of stuff. I'm guessing it's super overloaded right now, or just buggy from the switch over. I'll worry about the rest of my items another day - after they've fixed the website.
  12. I just went at it, and it let me. Maybe the limit only applies to Direct Delivery items that are unassociated? You can bulk delete unassociated magic box items from your merchant panel using the check boxes. Of course, right now the site is behaving badly.
  13. I just converted 300 items to DD in under one hour. It's very easy - automatic - if you haven't changed the names of your listings. Here's how I did it: To fill my magic boxes I've always taken copies of my store displays right off the wall, and dropped them into my magic boxes after unsetting the for sale option on the display prim. This way I've kept the Marketplace item names the same as the names you'll see on the displays on my store walls. I did it this way because I was thinking ahead and prefer to do less work rather than more when setting up vendor systems or Marketplace listings. The advantage of doing it this way is that if I need to fix an error in a product or change the contents for some reason, I can just do that to my in-world store display, then take a new copy of the display to replace the old package in the magic box or vendor server. No other/extra name changes or association adjustments are needed. Since DD conversion is automatic for listings that have the same name as the product folder you're uploading, I simply bought each item for myself from my store. I use the default Buy Contents on my store displays (again for simplicty's sake and it's less work, plus folder delivery is so much nicer for the customer) so when I purchase something from myself, I get a nice folder named the same as the display with all the contents inside ready to go. I just dragged these folders to the Merchant Outbox and sent them to Marketplace. Done. Now customers will get folders with the products inside just like when they shop at my store in world - not a single box to unpack, which is the whole point of DD. Note: I dragged the folders one at a time until I had a bunch in the the outbox ready to upload. I noticed if I bulk shift-selected folders then some of them wouldn't load the contents to the outbox window. Also, double check each folder real quick to make sure it has all the items that it should.
  14. Everyone but BlueSteel servers have 64m prim support/mesh now. Will BlueSteel get it tomorrow during rolling restarts? Please?
