I know this is an old thread, and already a lot of mixed opinions... but I think the automated transport vehicles are lovely and a great way to explore, whether you're new or old, the landscape changes all the time It would be nice if LL would update some of them though lol... some are a bit out of date and could use fresh paint, so to speak.

So weird. I saw the same thing happen in the Atoll area (near the Busiris SIM) about a week ago, it was early in the morning and all the open water SIMs had 8-11 avatars on them across 8 different water SIMs, mostly stacked up on each other (not crop circles). All of the accounts were under 1 year old and looked like default avatars.

I have added more prim to the parcel: Total prim is now 2219 and weekly is L$ 1887 :-)!

You may already have your piece of land, but I have something which is almost what you need... I can add more PRIM to the parcel up to 2570... it has a beautiful view of protected sea. Hi Arch, I think there's nothing wrong with buying that piece, or any other piece of mainland (mainland is awesome!). My suggestion: become friendly with your neighbors 🙂 I suppose the only thing I'd add is that protected land sides (1x, 2x, 3x etc.) simply means only the Lindens could build there, and they mostly likely will never will (but see TOS, because that's not guaranteed, either). But... the real point here should be and to answer your question: keep in mind, that at any time, people can buy/build on the land around you (because it's not protected) and you may not like what that looks like. So this is why protected land is so rare, coveted and, well, very, very... VERY expensive. But, to my first point, if you just make friends with your neighbors, they are unlikely to put up ugly prim walls 🙂 I think you may find that people in SL want their parcels to look good too, so, build good relationships and you'll be in good shape 🙂 Good luck!!!
