I looked at all the pics attached to the listing, and did see arms. Do they fold in and come out, maybe? I'm not familiar with the item.

ETA: Oops, that was another listing that had multiple photos. But the name is the same as the one you linked: "Midnight", so I'm still wondering if the arms fold in.

Many thanks. I have no idea, but would rather not take the chance. But having thought more about it now I would also like to see these items in someones home, I would  like to see how they work and what music they play as you cant interact with the ones in the store.

With the human-size furniture you've put together so painstakingly I wouldn't really recommend being a Tiny.  They can't always sit on human chairs, and in any case you might not be able to see the top of your table. :)

How tiny does tiny go? Could I for instance live inside the terrarium in my home?

Im sure that would be rather a mind-bending experience!

I have to remind myself how young you are in SL. You have put together a very advanced avatar, all in mesh and furnished a home in style, and now you build furniture! Don't talk down that little table. I didn't build things when I was just a few weeks old in SL. But now I have to leave the computer for some time with Morpheus.

Im sure if it where not for blender I would never even have thought of building yet. It must be incredibly overwhelming for new people that have no background in 3D applications. I must admit I am also a bit of an information sponge, I just love to learn new things and constantly doing research on one subject or other :)

Depending on how far you want to go, you could just start with fox head, ears and a tail to wear with your normal body.  I have not been a furry for some 13 years or more so I am not sure what all is available.  Hopefully someone with more recent knowledge will be able to help you out.

You can search the Market Place for "Animesh Maid" and see what you like.  Some wander around more than others and of course quality can be hit and miss.  They also are notorious for having a fair bit of Land Impact.

Not at all what I was expecting in the way of a housekeeper when I searched the animesh maid lol

I was thinking more like this pictograph.. or, if this one were automated https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/C-Animesh-Follower-Elizabeth-Wear/17508326

I suppose you prefer to be biggie size rather than a Tiny?

The Historical Hunts group might be a good one to ask in inworld. It's always been friendly to both tinies and Victorians, and just friendly all around.

Caledon and Mieville groups too. Mieville has a big over lap with HH.

    Many thanks :)

Im very open minded, I have not considered size, but I have as long as I can wear lots of outfits any size would be considered :)

  6. I have one more piece of furniture to find and I believe the study is complete.

I have a marvellous terrarium (I intend to shrink it a bit) that needs a stand or side table as its base. Something that would fit the time and theme of the house. I have spent quite a few hours searching but have yet to find something suitable.

Would anyone know of an item that would fit the bill?

they are a scam. look at the marketplace first.  before I decided it was a scam I spent a good deal of linden on those stupid machines. LL should ban them from inworld for gambling. Because that is what they are. Just look at how flooded the MP is with the stuff.

I really do see your point. From now on I shall only use them if every item they contain would be suitable for my collection :)

Not unless you have given them permission to edit your objects, or have set the objects to share with a group, and that person is a member of that group. Even then, they could only move the items. I'm not aware (off the top of my head) of any way someone can just take your stuff.

ETA: The only annoying thing I can think of that someone can do to your items is, if they are texture-change, click and change the texture. That is a pet peeve of mine when someone "redecorates" for me! lol

ETA again: Many texture-change items let you set permissions for that in a menu. Just FYI in case it's an issue for you.

Many thanks :) Im not so worried now that I know they cant really do any harm :)

Or someone clicked on the fireplace because they liked it, and wanted to inspect it and find the creators name. And they turned off the fireplace when they clicked on it.

It is a very nice fireplace.

RE:visitor counters.  I'd go with newer ones.  Old ones use llSensor to detect all avatars within a radius.  It's a pretty laggy technology.  Newer ones just check whether there's anyone in your parcel (there's a much less laggy command for that),.

18 minutes ago, Sylvia Tamalyn said:

It could also be someone camming over and clicking from another location. At any rate, I believe @Nikki Mathieson has free visitor counters in her LH display at the RLF event, if you want to pick up one of those.

I have never used a visitor counter, but there are cheap ones on the Marketplace. I have no idea if this is good, but it is cheap and the store has lots of good reviews, even if no one has reviewed this yet. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Doormat-Script-With-Avatar-Sensor-Detector-V3-Intruder-Alert-Visitor-List-Time-Index/14053856

Maybe someone has a free script they can share, too.

Could be. I use a visitor counter log that I found waaaaay back in 2005 lol. Still works too. Every day when I log in, I check the log to see if anyone was there while I was away. It gives me the full name of any avatar that came within range.

Maybe there is something on the marketplace like this that you can use?

    Many thanks all.

I can hardly hear the fire so I dont think its that. I have only just set my music on, so not that.

Can they do anything unpleasant like take or move items etc?

Thank you or offering an apology, but no need to apologize! These things happen to all of us, no worries. 💛

I'm so sorry to hear that what you bought you couldn't use! We'll have more events for sure that you are of course welcome to attend--and if you happen to find something appropriate for this one, it's all good still because we've still got a meet set up this coming Saturday in the same theme!

But please don't ever let the theme stop you--it's not a requirement to appear in whatever theme we're having, we'd much rather just have people show and be having fun! The themes are just something quirky we all just agreed to do cause we're all a bit guilty of being shopaholics. xD

Many thanks. I felt a little awkward it being a morning wear event and me arriving in my day clothes lol

  11. Hello all.

On my travels I have met quite a few animals and monster avatars. My favourite was a Victorian mole.

Does creating such avatars work in the same way as it did when I created myself, IE, a body with the most content available and customisation options? I really like the idea of either a Victorian fox, badger, or rat.

Any advice on achieving this metamorphosis would be very welcome, especially landmarks so I can visit the sores :)

Plus on a side note: At the home and garden exhibition, there where a number of what at first I thought where other people but turned out to be a sort of animated npc. Is it possible to have something like this in my home, a butler or house keeper would be amazing :)

Heyo! For all interested in today's meetup, we're still scheduled to Pajama-jama here fairly shortly. We'll be hosted by Tatichan today ((Ajaychan, we are going to raincheck your host offer for when you can be there with us. 💛 ))

So, if anyone would like a TP, please see me (or probably just about any of the regulars) in world with an IM and we'll happily TP ya over!

I am afraid I shall not be able to come to the event today. The items I purchased are not compatible with my body :(

There was very little in the way of Victorian morning wear for gentlemen, and what attire was available was not very good at all.

    Please except my sincere apologies.

Go to the About Land box and then to the Sound tab. You can enter a music URL in the drop down box (be sure to press "enter" after entering the URL). In the alternative, there are radios you can buy on Marketplace that have pre-programmed stations.

ETA: You can look in that same spot when you are at a parcel whose music you like, and see what music URL they use.

Many many thanks :) I have been trying to get one of the contraption gramophones, but alas it has been wasted time and cash.

Well done,  @VonWulfen, you have done splendidly.  Your home looks rich, inviting, yet cosy.  The very place in which to plan daring exploits and exotic travel, or contemplate scientific condundrums.

I think you will appreciate this next pictograph, Planning my next expedition. Notice Dr Livingstones Pith helmet :)
