Hello all.
I have a number of mechanical pets who are quite noisy with their mechanised ambience.
Is it possible to restrict their sound just to my home plot?
I dont like the idea of them annoying the neighbours with their clickety-clacking

I just checked my home and the sun porch is 22 Li, I also use the Vern Terrace with it that comes in at 14 Li and makes a very nice wrap around outdoors area. I checked the screened in porch addition as well and that is only 6 Li (which is nice). I was thinking that the screen texture might be modified with siding texture to make an enclosed room. I do a lot of mixing up and modding of purchased additions to fit the spaces.
What a good idea, I never considered changing the screen texture to a wall texture

29 Li is not bad for the amount of detail. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/LH-Victorian-The-Shelley-sun-porch/18677959
I am not sure if this is suited for a kitchen. The windows are for a sun room. It gives you not much room for cupboards. I will suggest you find your kitchen furniture first, and place them on the porch. Then, use prims to build the walls. Leave out openings for windows and doors. I know you can use Blender, I do not know how experienced you are. You can't be less than me, and I can do a bit. I never tried to make doors and windows, but there are those to buy. I have used these and they are not "just" like the Victorian windows. But look better than modern windows. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/ER-Single-Hung-Colonial-Grille-Window-100-Full-Perm-Mesh/11048825
I have also bought doors. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Something-Savvy-Double-Single-French-Doors-Full-Perm/13818267
I don't know why there's no picture with them, but they look like this:
I bought the windows and doors, but built the rest myself.
I made the house model in Second life with openings. Link the prims together. Rightclick and choose Save as - Collada. In Blender, you import the Collada file and can do whatever you want, and how much detail you want. To join the walls as one object saves you a lot of li. Don't save as Blender file, but "save" as Export - Collada.
I think you said in another post that you use Firestorm, this "Save as Collada" works for Firestorm, not sure about the other viewers. Of course you can only do this with your own prims.
I find it too hard to make texture maps, so I color the parts inworld before I save as Collada. All parts I want the panel texture on in one color, all parts I want bricks in another, all parts where I want interior wall in a third, white trim a fourth, ceiling a fifth, floor the seventh... You can use 8 colors.
There is explained how to use the test grid some place in the blogs/information. You get free uploads, so you can experiment and try again and again. Then upload the finished product to Secondlife itself.
It looks lovely
Thank you so much for the building info. I will certainly give it a try. I want something quick for now and have seen a few I very much like thanks to everyone's
suggestions

Oh, I used to have that model! I used this back porch with it. Check out this designer's interior French doors, too; they are very nice.
This is also very nice
Looking at their other items, they have this downstairs divider. It will be a little cramped but I may well be able to fit a stove and some hangings utensils in there

I've used this enclosure for my Vern, there is also one for the Shelley. And, I've also used one for the Shelley that is a screened in variation (which was used for a back porch service area, i.e. laundry). This is the Sun Porch - very nicely done:

Many thanks. This may well fit the bill
What is the land impact?

Unless you really want to tackle the building yourself, you might check Marketplace. There are some very nice add-ons available. I'd suggest a search for something like "linden victorian", or "linden" plus the name of the particular home model you are using. (I'm not familiar enough with them to tell from your photo which one you have.)
I have the Shelley

I have these claws for an alt. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/GDDeath-Becomes-HimClaws-Belleza-Jake-Bento-Hands/11957601
The store has claws for other bodies too. I think they are good enough, but some reviews aren't giving them 5 stars.
I always look at the Marketplace for eyes. If you have the head's default eyes, you need appliers. You can search bloodshot plus the head's name. SlightlySkewed is a store I have bought from. I can't link since the store has some images that's not PK. Their purple, bloodshot eyes is a freebie.
I got these fingernails in the end. Very happy with them I must say

Is this a mesh avatar body and/or head?
Both body and head are mesh but not from the same creator. I had to tinker with both the head and body to achieve the look, especially my new teeth

Oh, wait... you're not talking about that sort of teeth-hiding, are you?
I have now managed to fit them correctly. My new ones have so much more character
