You can always try  after they are released  as lots of people get a home because someone has decided to abandon it.  This does happen.

That's right. I got my home from those being abandoned.  I haven't had luck with the region releases, too many trying at one time. Its slower and easier to grab an abandoned home. My husband has grabbed 2 nice house locations in the last 3 days and abandoned them, since he's wanting a houseboat. I think he needs to put 'houseboat' in the text word search so only those come up.

btw, he was not steadily monitoring the page, he had it refreshing, heard the chime and quickly went to the page. Its just a matter of timing and luck.

In my opinion, predictability of a list would be preferable to random luck.  Your opinion seems to be the opposite.  Both are reasonable opinions and nothing more.

I agree, both are reasonable opinions and at opposite ends.  I wonder if you'll feel the same on a waiting list when a random lottery again is drawn and you end up at the end of the list, waiting for 3 years to have a home?  This is not meant to be snarky at all. Just realistic.  We'd  have many more residents complaining when they end up at the end of the line with no alternative to get ahead and be at the front.

being built? yes, but not right now. most people's homes are still on the drawing board. most people's homes will be in themes we haven't even been told about yet. for those wanting to plan, i'd say, come back in six months and assess the situation then. realistically you're going to struggle to get anything sooner than that. you're up against too many people who want their home NOW.

of course the current system isn't fair, since it gives an advantage to people in certain timezones, with 24/7 internet access, who don't have disabilities or other issues in accessing the signup screen, who can afford multiple alts, etc. etc. but then it's hard to think of a system that wouldn't. whatever system was put in place, people would work out how to game it. my prediction is the site will crash entirely when the trailers are released and they'll either have to block auto-refresh or rethink how homes are allocated.

I don't that will happen. They can tell the difference between a popular website and an attack.  This is not the same as a DoS when there are massive attacks on a server. This would be planned for by LL and they would most likely develop more resources to carry the load.

  4. 36 minutes ago, BelleBax said:

But - LL is spending money to have new homes and communities built, and they have likely budgeted for the effort to be completed by some time - which won't be published (all good).  We don't know these timelines - but LL knows, and so they could certainly support a list or reservation process if they wanted to.  They don't want to - or they don't need to -  or they've determine it's not the best approach - or for whatever reason they're doing the roll out this way.  I have no doubt - this is a choice, not a function of the unknown future.

Lists in this case would not be good.  I remember being in school. My last name began with a 'Y'.  I was always towards the end of the waiting line.  I feel its more fair and balanced with the random releases for residents to have a shot at grabbing a home.

As for a plan on building the continent out. Of course they have a master plan and its mapped out. And they also have grey areas left open for changes and adjustments.  LL informs us what they can, within reason.  A developer never releases their total plan and blue print to the public. Its just not done. I don't think we should expect LL to behave any differently in this regard either.

    You're welcome. :)

It's also worth noting that keeping an eye on the forums here will give you some indication when things look like they are getting closer. I've heard people mention the Moles or Lindens gathering on regions prior to release for what I assume must be last minute checks. I've heard others mention Patch releases word of release in the Bellisseria Community group in world right before release. I have no ide if either one of these things are true or are just speculation.

The Lindens and Moles are hoping to release regions regularly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays but it's not always going to be possible. There's no official times for these releases and can happen at any time during the work day (7:30 a.m. to I think 2:00 p.m. SLT or thereabouts). These releases can sometimes be more than one region. Generally no more than two per day (so far?) and I don't think they are released at the same time of day.

With larger releases we will be given official warning from Patch here:

That's all I know, beyond the fact it's still a game of chance where the quickest to click the button wins. Good luck! :)

That sounds about right. Monday, Wednesday and Fridays are the days they TRY to do their region releases on. They were unable to last Wednesday and Friday, so this Monday, today, has big anticipation for many eagerly awaiting new homes.  Patch does chat in the Bellisseria Citizens & Community groups in world, usually giving a heads up warning that within 30 to 90 minutes a region release is pending.  The release times vary, but are between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. SLT, occasionally they are released a little earlier than that, but not much.

If Phideaux is refreshing her pages, using something like Chrome Auto Refresh Plus and has a target text word input (ex: Bellisseria), then the page will chime when a new Linden home comes available and stop on that page.  Most times the Bellisseria home listing as at the top of the list, but sometimes when the page stops, you have to click the drop down menu to find the Bellisseria home, then click onto the NEXT, AGREE and ACCEPT buttons and checks.

  7. Linden land covenants can be rather grey is some areas. I think its best to direct the question to @Patch Linden

The Fair grounds certainly seem to run by a different code than residential areas and well it should be.  Its main focus is entertainment to the Bellisseria community and any/all Second Life residents attending advertised events, to enjoy themselves.  I don't have an issue with Tip Jars being approved for these type of events outside the residential zoning areas.

I'm certain in the near future, bookings will be marked on the calendar for charity events whose primary purpose is to raise money for a cause.  There will be tip jars out.  Yes, its for a non profit, but clarity on when tip jars are and are not allowed in a non residential area for venues should be clarified by @Patch Linden for the community asking these questions as this new continent's regions are mapped out and will mostly likely, have a few regions zoned differently than residential regions.

  8. Role playing on a medieval-fantasy region, we have a campsite of around 7 vardos. Over the last few years, on different regions of roleplay, I have had a vardo a few times that I managed to decorate up more flashy and stylish than any solid building home and loved it!  I did some decorating in smaller vardos only using 16 LI! And it was cuuute!  Most of the slightly larger vardos I have used between 50-75LI and they are so pretty inside. I have found using some of the smaller kitchens or simple cooking stove works best and a pillowed sofa or daybed is the ideal set up for a versatile open bedroom/sitting area combo.  Some of my favorite details are using beaded or draped curtains and bookcase dividers with lots of low 1LI decorations. I've linked them up to reduce the LI.  If there is not too many windows, the window box flowers and potted plants with a cute porch chair is perfect for these tiny homes.

I can't wait for the release of this next theme so we can all see the flash of style that new residents put into their new camper/trailer/tiny house homes!  THINK BOHO!!!  🥰

These 3 images are medieval in style, but you get the general idea.

    That's a trailer? I thought it was a bath tub! :D:D:D

Well, many tiny homes are modified from other things, like a bus, or a *quickly glances around*  ...horse trailer. But, I'm not confirming or denying the modifications. It does look rather spiffy in the exterior wood textures from the hud menu. 😉

    There ya go, of course.

You certainly are an informative one, Seba.

Although, are you here for the Bellisseria community family?  Or are you here to find a new Linden home?  Or are you just here to put up one, after another, off putting posts on the forums and in the in-world Bellisseria Citizens & Community groups?

-Hands him a ToS pamplet-  Asking for a friend.  😒

  14. The demand for new Linden homes is high and the topic of a new theme release coming in the next few months/weeks has everyone in anticipation;  I know many of us have gone over to look at the new camper/trailer theme at Second Life's 16th Birthday celebration.  They are colorful, cozy and look like they'd make an adorable home. The parcels will be 512 with 175LI and I'm sure creators will make some built ins or add ons to spruce these dwellings up as well.  So what is out there in the styles for the campers/trailers?

I walked around the campsite lake again today and took some snaps of each one.  There are 8 models so far displayed. If there are more to be released in the hud, they were not on display.  I know some are not excited about the smaller parcels or little homes, but I feel many would enjoy just having a cozy little home and some will absolutely love these.  Find below in the next few posts, some names and images (exterior & interior) of the models out there. Perhaps do a little decorating planning?  I have had some vardo homes in SL and have decorated them up so colorful and cozy, keeping my LI low, so I could do more around the exterior.

Here you'll find the LH Camper/Trailer Controller to select your model from.

  15. After following the posts on the Kitchen help topic, I redid my own and swapped out two rooms.  I'm very happy with the results and afforded myself a few more prims to use for things I had to omit before. Plus I have my music room back in the front room of the house where I really enjoyed it by the windows.  And I still have some prims left over. 😲

    Results below:

New Kitchen remodel: (old kitchen was 67 LI . new kitchen is 46 LI)

Now I have an extra little hallway sitting room (Added in an extra walled hallway & sitting area by the stereo radio changer)
