I would suggest grabbing a free texture changer from mp: 1. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Texture-Change-System-with-8-button-HUD/17081686 I have not used that one but seems straight forward but might be limited with the alpha on off, not sure you will need to check it. 2. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Tavatar-ColorTexture-HUD-Kit-Free/4299174 This is the best one for you needs, i have used that in the past but the learning curve was abit difficult with try and testing and watching the video tutorial, you will be able to make your hud with ease. Now if all that is too much work and feels complicated, I can make you a HUD which will change the texture to any part of the mesh face or all/group part of the mesh.......... It will have options for alpha.........price will be 10K, but personally i would grab the other two free ones and learn, since it will be best for future uses
