  1. Did you seriously compared the most played MOBA game ever with some DC wanna be? :D

it turns out that there are only about 1.3 million US gamers who try a lot of different games.

And what about the rest of the world? Surely the US is not the only country that exists on the planet like it's depicted in most "saving the planet" movies. I don't consider myself to be a gamer at all, like AT ALL. And I have 40 games just in my steam. Typical gamers try everything that catches their eye, has good story and immersion and is able to keep them engaged for hours. That means even playing chess or some card game online.

    Games aren’t products
But games, especially big ones, aren’t consumer products. I’d go as far as to say that each multiplayer game is a cultural self-reinforcing phenomenon, relying on its perceived popularity more than on its market share.

With this statement in the article the author proves he's completely clueless about gaming, as games ARE products, they fall under entertainment in the software development industry and are invested most in because it's one of the most competitive markets as it is the industry with the highest revenue and earnings.

Example: Dota 2 2022 total prize pool is 45,000,000 USD

There is no tournament in the world where the prize pool for winning it is such high amount.

Why do you even think my  comment about playing where is Waldo in dark images on my phone was directed at you?

You know, every touch screen based mobile device has zoom option, right? And not just that, but also has even cooler feature that lets you adjust the brightness on the display.

Now lets improve upon those features and make the mobile browsing experience even better! Mobile devices have portrait and landscape mode, all you have to do is tilt the device on one side and voila! You change modes. Another awesome hidden feature you may not be aware is that you can tap on the photos to view them better, but wait, there's more! If you double tap on the photo you can open it on new web tab on your phone to view it even better! I mean how cool is technology, right?!

And with that being said, I don't think any us of are obliged to resize our photos, which we post to express ourselves, our looks and captured special moment just so you can view them better on your phone which none of us know what kind it is, what's it's display size, screen ratio, resolution and ppi density.

  3. Hi Talia and welcome to the forums.

I took the liberty of peeking at your profile and few things stood out. As a photographer or any kind of artist in order to attract clientele it's good practice to put out a portfolio of your work, showing the level of skill and expertise you posses in your art. This will help people who are likely interested in your work get better idea and raise their interest.

As for pricing it entirely depends on how much you value your work and what are the market rates. The the popular you are, the higher price you could charge per shoot. As for the shoots themselves the charge rates can be defined based on the type of photos you'll be doing, amount of photos(it could be single one, or it could be photo session), photo set - it could be some pre-set backdrop or something you put up for the sake of the photo and of course last but not least the amount of post-editing work you do after the shoot.

All these are key factors what you need to take into consideration when you set prices for your services.

I was trying to take a more complicated shot tonight (which I'm not sure I really like), but thought I'd finish off with a simple portrait, which I don't really do often enough, maybe.

FWIW and for those who care, this is unedited. (Usually I torture my poor pics to death in Photoshop!)

Why do I love this so darn much? ^_^

  5. One way to battle anxiety and depression, at least it works for me, is to exercise regularly and find hobbies that motivate you to think get better.

In case of exercise, doing regular high-intensity or exercises suitable for your current physique(don't over do it at first) are proven all-natural treatment against depression and anxiety as it starts a biological cascade of events that results in health benefits whether they are physical or mental. Regular exercises cause the body to release endorphins which can boost your mood and all natural pain relievers - ideal for battling the symptoms of anxiety and depression.

    A. We only live to work so we may make money then inevitably die.
B.We are living to learn all we can only to die and take that knowledge with us.
C.We are merely living for our family, whether our biological family or those we choose as our family, then we die.
    D. We live only to struggle our whole life then die.

    A. You might want to change your lifestyle if all you do is work to make money.

    B. Write down the knowledge you've gained, share it with others, pass it down to the next generation. That's literally one of the main reasons why we are at this technological state.

    C. Again, change your lifestyle, if you only live for the sake of others then you really need to begin looking after your own wellbeing.

    D. Every living thing on the planet struggles. Animals struggle to find food.

Turn the negative into positive. It may sound difficult or even impossible, but if you set your mind on it and not give up you can turn it around into something beautiful and memorable.
