You can buy a private island or even rent an island, but that costs real money, something like 275 usd per month! EDIT.. you can also rent 1/4 or 1/2 sims as well. Private islands and skyboxes offer more "privacy" then mainland. If you just want to spend lindens, as long as you have a premium account, a bit of mainland like a 1024 plus a house you could get on the marketplace by searching house and garden, and click on 0-10 L's, you can get a house to put on some mainland, but if you want to rent a skybox, as far as i know you do not need a premium account, and look around lots, as the prices vary widely, some will have a pool included. I cannot offer you any specific places to look for, except to check out the land forum, which i gather you may already have done that.
