Is there really?  Or were you joking?  The 🤣 makes it hard to tell, but no one else responded to me…

It was mentioned. The laughing face because its one of those "soon" things.

I might put a PP on an alt for a month once the mesh prices get updated. I'll prepare and get a good 3000+ sound clips ready. ♫Mewsic

What ever happened to the 30 second sound clips? Firestorm had it all ready to go.

  2. Still no 30 second sound clip uploads... pfffffft :)

Too expensive for what you get in my opinion. I have 13 groups remaining at the moment and could remove some if needed.

2048 is cheaper to just buy the extra 1024 of tier.

Free image uploads is cool but I don't upload enough images to make up for the cost.

With the cost of living on the rise, gas prices, and lack of wage increases to cover the inflation in the real world I don't see these prices being feasible. These prices may be ok for anyone who has a business on SL and is making enough lindens to cover the costs but even then.. I think most will say "is it worth it?" and probably decide against it (do the math). But who knows I've seen some people do some crazy stuff on SL lol.

If the price was $150/year I'd go for it. But with Marketplace fee's now higher, cost to buy and sell lindens being taxed higher than before, and soon US will be taxed based on your state taxes (similar to VAT)...

Math tells me... No Way Jose!!

    Just my opinion...

  3. Banlines should be banned. Use a security orb instead with 10 seconds. If you want it less than 10 move to an estate instead of mainland.

Skyboxes at ground level should be banned (I consider this a selfish action. You don't give 2 craps about your neighbors, especially when some take the time to landscape and deco)

  4. Or answered those fun questions on Facebook like whats your favorite color, favorite car, favorite actor, etc... all questions that are usually used in password resets.

What SL needs really bad is 2FA. I don't even think you get blocked out if you type your password wrong 5 times. People can just use a brute force.

So if your password doesn't look something like this "3#j9A8F!pM^fs$QuU" its time to update. Use a password manager so you don't have to remember the crazy passwords like BitWarden.

and of course don't click one of the million fishing links that get posted in all these groups, use mouse over often and if you really wanna click links set up a Virtual Machine with VirtualBox, then you can open anything you want and it wont matter, copy paste to browser inside the virtual machine and it wont matter if its a virus, just don't enter user/pass details. Every fishing link I have opened in a virtual machine usually leads to a secondlife log in page thats set up to look like the real thing. I enter in some fake user name and password and it leads no where, they just collecting what you entered.

This is why it aggravates me so many group moderators and owners use tiny url or link shorteners, who knows whats really behind that link until you click it.

Gotta be careful in this day in age, lot of ######## :|

Well, I am pretty sure that they probably didn't see this coming when gacha was first introduced.  But the rules have changed now.  And it should be up to the creators how they want to proceed.   They should not be prohibited from putting those items on regular vendors for sale.  Especially while others will still be able to resell the actual gacha items.  I mean the people buying them from resellers aren't playing a gacha either they're doing a straight purchase of the item.  To say yes to that and no to the person that actually created the item someone else is now profiting from the sale of is just wrong.  I want to go to the actual creator and pay them for their time and creativity.

They aren't prohibited from selling by normal means.

I will say that if I had not had a few years experience with a 3d virtual world prior to joining SL, I would never had stayed in SL. The difference in learning curves is huge with SL's curve being the largest/longest/whatever. Much of the SL experience is overly complicated for most people.

I have to say this mostly is true for me also. I logged in to SL and I couldn't figure things out and ended up logging out for 5 years. I went and played another similar virtual world (that doesn't exist anymore) and other games. Eventually I came back and I probably wouldn't have stayed again if it wasn't for someone teaching me how to fix myself up. I would say it took a good 6 months of playing to really have a decent understanding of the complexities of SL.

For anyone new that joins and doesn't have a friend to help them out right away, I would say chances are slim they will stick around. It is great there is noob starting areas now though at least with a bit of a walk through. I think it might need a bit more though.

I still see people wearing every pair of pants in the folder they got (Stacked up wearing Maitreya, Legacy, eBody, Tonic, Slink, etc all at the same time) lol. New people have no idea that all the pants they got in the folder are made for specific bodies. It can be confusing especially if you don't have a friend helping

Lara - Petite is very popular. I would guess that almost 15% of Lara wearers are using it.

According to some clothing creator polls there is more people wearing Lara Petite than there is Legacy overall. Maitreya was still top by miles and Petite in second that was shockingly higher than Legacy. I hope you add the add-on parts like Petite in so we can see it :) Should get a better number off your bots than a poll with limited audience.

I cant wait to see another update on this!

  8. I used to put my store in search but I don't anymore. Roughly 73-74% of my sales come off Marketplace. The people that do visit the store usually come from Marketplace to view a demo and occasionally will buy in world but some will also view the demo and still buy off Marketplace. But if you are a big merchant that has a lot of traffic and sales they putting in search is a must. Agree with @Sid Nagy 100%

When I was more involved with GTFO (Get the Freight Out) I would use search just so people could find my place when searching for GTFO. Makes it easy for them to find a spot to rez out a boat and pick up goods to be delivered.

  9. 1,024 sqm - Free
    512 sqm  - $4
    1024 sqm  - $7
    2048 sqm  - $13
    4096 sqm  - $22
    8192 sqm  - $35
    16,384 sqm  = $67
    32,792 sqm  = $112
    49,152 sqm  = $150
    1 Region (66,536 sqm)  = $175
    1.25 Region = $219
    1.5 Regions = $263
    1.75 Regions = $307
    2 Regions - $351
    2.5 Regions - $439
    3 Regions - $527
    3.5 Regions - $682.50
    4 Regions - $703
    4.5 Regions - $791
    5 Regions - $879

My only issue is them not Pro-rating tier. If for some reason I need to increase my tier 3 days before my tier date I have to pay full price for those 3 days.

So for example if I have 1 sim worth of land and I need to increase it to 1.25 sims worth of land 3 days before my tier date I get charged that extra $44 for only 3 days of use.

Or worse yet if I buy another full sim on top of my currently owned one 3 days before my tier date. I end up having to pay $176 for 3 days.

If they would pro-rate tier accordingly I think it could solve some issues and also generate more revenue for themselves, less people waiting for their tier date to increase.

"Oh man someone just put a parcel up super cheap next door to my home I want buy it, but I cant buy it because Ill get charged full price for 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 days before my tier. I sure hope no one buys it so I can when my tier date finally comes"

(Someone shows up and buys the great deal! puts giant ugly privacy screens up and a giant skybox at ground level)

    *Sad Panda*
