Blocking a Griefer's Public Chat in Firestorm
AlexandriteGem replied to AlexandriteGem's question in Abuse and Griefing
Something is not right then. How could they all be using a relay? -
Blocking a Griefer's Public Chat in Firestorm
AlexandriteGem replied to AlexandriteGem's question in Abuse and Griefing
Thank you, but I am confused. I block the person, hit the derender blacklist option, that avatar disappears but I can still read him in chat. I do not understand what a relay is -
Blocking a Griefer's Public Chat in Firestorm
AlexandriteGem posted a question in Abuse and Griefing
I am on FS64 5.0.1f os. After blocking and derendering an avatar, I can still read him in chat. How can this be avoided to have the individual completely blocked? -
Don't tell *me* what I saw. Someone blocked me, I did not see his avatar on the screen but his name showed up on the radar. A few meters from me. Latest version of Firestorm. Call it radar or minimap. Mine looks nothing like that. Period.
-
Here is an FYI and an update... On the latest version of Firestorm, the avatar of someone who blocked you is not visible. However, his/her name shows up in the radar, as a green dot. So if you see someone on the radar and can't see the avi, you know you have been blocked by that person. That settles it for me.
-
Good morning. I am on the latest version of Firestorm, and see gray figures of my blocked avatars. I never see red or green clouds. My question is, how do the avatars I block see me? When I derender them permanently or mute them, how do they see me? Thenk you

I think this is it, but as it is, it does not work default { state_entry() vector NAVY = <0, 0.122, 0.247>; vector BLUE = <0, 0.455, 0.851>; vector AQUA = <0.498, 0.859, 1 >; vector TEAL = <0.224, 0.8, 0.8 >; vector OLIVE = <0.239, 0.6, 0.439>; vector GREEN = <0.18, 0.8, 0.251>; vector LIME = <0.004, 1 , 0.439>; vector YELLOW = <1 , 0.863, 0 >; vector ORANGE = <1 , 0.522, 0.106>; vector RED = <1 , 0.255, 0.212>; vector MAROON = <0.522, 0.078, 0.294>; vector FUCHSIA = <0.941, 0.071, 0.745>; vector PURPLE = <0.694, 0.051, 0.788>; vector WHITE = <1 , 1 , 1 >; vector SILVER = <0.867, 0.867, 0.867>; vector GRAY = <0.667, 0.667, 0.667>; vector BLACK = <0.000, 0.000, 0.000>; string hoverText = "Gabriel"; vector hoverColor = LIME;// set predefined color or any RGB color vector in float form float hoverAlpha = 1.0; // Sets the text's transparency, 1.0 being opaque, while 0.0 would be transparent }

I just want to put his name on my ring and have the name change colors. Can you please suggest a script I can put in the ring for it, and tell me where to put the name? I am also looking at the one on http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlSetText If I just put the name in green, where do I write it? default { state_entry() { vector COLOR_GREEN = <0.0, 1.0, 0.0>; float OPAQUE = 1.0; // prim's name (not necessarily object's) llSetText(llGetObjectName(), COLOR_GREEN, OPAQUE ); // delete the script as we only needed it to change the floating text property llRemoveInventory(llGetScriptName()); } } Thanks

Hello all. Please help if you can, I have no knowledge of scripts. I found the one above on the Wiki to put colors on my wedding ring, but do not know where I put my husband's name. Could anyone please advise me? Thank you Profoki Neva. By the way, know of any landlords that are not rude and insult tenants just for asking a question about how their land functions? Ar the only consequences available to block the injurer's IMs? Thanks
-
Oh forget it.... So much for asking for help! Just wanted to land in a place where I do not arrive in pieces, looking at things all gray for minutes. Who cares about my RAM or my attachments. If I can get that in some areas, I am looking for other areas where it works out as well and most residents do not complain about the lag.. I give up...
-
Fudge... Going back to the topic and purpose of my post, can anyone please recommend a low lag residential area which is also affordable? By this I mean, as close to equal prims per lindens paid as possible and where you can reside without lag issues? Thanks!
-
That's what some say, but I visit some lands I can't even move around and I visit others where I arrive dressed, can view everything well and all... So, some places DO have more lag than others.
-
I want to have some privacy in the area that monitors the lag. Mine at the present is pretty good, but I pay 399L for 250 prims.Lag is monitored, breedables not allowed, they do give you tv,radio, dances, water skis and floats, lots of privacy. It really is nice but I will not be logging in as often and do not want to pay for what I don't use. More like L/prim is ideal, but don't want to get myself in a laggy hole
-
Names bleeped out. Besides, bad landlords already have their reps.. Besides, with all baggage I still notice less lag in some places than in others. I am looking for one where I arrive and lag does not last longer than a minute
-
I have been renting from *bleep* for over a year, but am considering moving to a more affordable place. I tried *bleep*s a while ago but found the place to be laggy and the landlord a cheat. I like *bleep* prims for lindens value. But how problematic is the lag?

Trying to locate inworld, old avatar store
AlexandriteGem replied to AlexandriteGem's topic in Your Avatar
YES! Finally!! Thank you so, so much! -
I visited it months ago, it is one of the first avatar stores inworld. It has many prim avatars and what I recall the most is the low prices. Most about 10L. Admired by creators in Sl who value and appreciate the progression from historic avatars. I recall seeing everything from bugs, to marine animals, to dinosaurs. The store has several levels. If anyone knows which one I am talking about, please share the address. Thank you

What is allowed in an "M" vs. "A" land?

That's exactly what I needed. Thank you!!!! :matte-motes-big-grin: -
What is allowed in an "M" vs. "A" land?
AlexandriteGem replied to AlexandriteGem's topic in General Discussion
Actually, the incident goes like this: In an open cave right ini front of a landing spot, a woman rezed a bed with sex animations and went at it with another woman in a land rated "M ". Both naked havinssex. I found it in bad taste to be so exposed in a site not categorized as "A ". Is that a violation of TOS? I that a reportable offense? From the link I read, I interpreted that it is a violation. I just wanted confirmation to report that behavior. And who do the consequences fall on, the owner of the land or the woman? Thanks -
What is allowed in an "M" vs. "A" land?
AlexandriteGem replied to AlexandriteGem's topic in General Discussion
Thank you. Then, from what I understood, rezing a bed with sex animations in an "M" land and engaging in sexual activity for public viewing is in violation of TOS. -
Just curious. A scene where two avatars are naked and engaged in sex animations on a bed in public, in an "M " land is allowed or does that correspond to an "A " category land? Please clarify. Thank you

The connection is not the issue. If it's good. My folders turn up as empty and I can't tp home. Just a heads up to those thinking about buying it. If it does not work on your phone, they are still keeping the money.
