I am establishing the superiority of the alpha male when it comes to friends - as your OP asked in discussion.  What I wrote is a fact, and there are no alpha males who find this distasteful.  Alpha's survive on friendships and leadership.  My friends are my friends and there are other alpha's in our circle - we don't contend for superiority - we enjoy our friendships.

I like the idea too, but it’s a bit silly. So it would have to be something other than linear.

I know, see my friendly kitten smile!

a small increase would flow on to creators - that would help them - but the lab have said that the sources and sinks are very finely balanced. It was by raising the Lindex fees that they could afford to give more land/drop teir.

Ebbe has said that such manipulation is something to be done incredibly carefully and over a long time. Small movements with a lot of planning, and over many years. There is a real danger of unintended consequences when playing with these levers.

And more tier you'd have to pay on those regions.

L$19200/week is US$76.19 per region stipend. My existing regions would earn me L$96000/week or US$380 a week @ 252 sell.

    $380*52/12 = US$1650 a month stipend.

This lets me get 8 free full regions, or 17 homesteads - gratis  - no extra tier.

I actually love this idea! Woohoo.

Edit: and of course, the fun part... 17 free homesteads on top of my existing would be L$441,600/week (US$1742) or US$7593 a month stipend :D

    I can now have 79 homesteads... oops 79 is US$26082 ... Infinate money :D I can retire :D

(Smile Ms Winslet, I am just having fun, Linear won't work, we all know this!)

(I don't know why they would, I've yet to see a singular reasonable reason for it, lol)

They are Lindens. Lindens sometimes do real weird things.

But they are honest-to-goodness humans working in an incredibly complex environment, and like every single one of us they are just as entitled to get it wrong too.

Plus, as Patch grumpily reminded us - "we don't know the full story"

  5. If 1024m2 is L$300 a week, would it be a linear scale? L$19200 a week for a region?

If so, woohoo, I would rake in L$96000 a week! It would equal 4 free full regions!! And of course, with those 4 free regions... more money.

    Lots and lots of money!

It's getting some love soon and will be on it's way to release.  In the meantime all those who want to use the goodness will have to download the RC Viewer.  Fear not, it hasn't been abandoned, it just has a lot of competition!

Thanks Grumpity, you are a star. Those estate features are going to be awesomely useful for people juggling their ban lists.

    And Merry Christmas :)

need help renting a 1/2 homestead but dunno what to do for terrain a home looks small on that land wanted to do snowy hmm I dunno maybe I could separate I dunno

Find which way the sun rises and set. Build up some hills on the sides from that. Initially make the hills C or S shaped with mirrors so your home is inside the widest part and there are thinner points to sunrise and fall. Get that done fast, then populate it with trees. I mostly use these and these as they are 1 prim each.

After the trees and rocks, add a cliff+waterfall and a stream, a little bridge crossing the stream. Over time add a few little clearings with cuddles and a campfire so you can sit with friends without the house being in view. There is no rush making these, get the 2 C/S shapes around your house first.  Those will change over time as you work slowly.

Treat each little seperate area like a room.

I can't stress enough how important it is to frame the the sunrise and sunset.
