  1. I think your best bet would be to customize one yourself. You must first buy what you like and wear each item.

    • Choose a skin and shape and makeup that are compatible (otherwise the makeup might be a mess)
    • Choose your hair (this can be harder than it seems, most people will give you conflicting advice, choose one that you like)
    • Shoes (Make sure the pair you buy has an alpha)
    • Bald base
    • Eyes (Some like mesh eyes, some prefer more realistic eyes, totally your choice)
    • Eyebrows (optional)
    • Attachments (Huds, genitalia etc)
    • Jewelry
    • clothing ( a basic top and bottom)

Then when you are satisfied, click on the outfit button on the bottom bar, bottom left corner of the dialog box click save as. Choose a name for your outfit and save.

You now have a unique aviie that you can change into whenever you wish. Enjoy! :catvery-happy:

doesn't look to bad though, could be fun in the right setting. Like at a live burlesque show

  4. Sorry if this is a bit off topic.

I am fairly new to SL but I have made a few logos for companies in my RL work, mainly for websites.  The problem is if I charged you RL rates for my time, (typically 4-8 hours per logo depending) my price would be huge in L$ What is the going rate for CID work in SL? Anybody know?

  5. OK let me put this in perspective for ya

Imagine that this forum was high school and you the kid at the back of the gym raised your hand and asked the same question. So what would happen? You would be laughed at, just like here. Don't get defensive, just get real.

  6. 1 People who judge other people based on their lifestyle choices

2 Grumpy old men that troll the feeds looking for victims so that they feel a bit better about their own crappy lives.

3 People who enjoy seeing others publicly humiliated

4 People who chat spam in group notices.

5 People who audio spam in clubs

    6 Smoking RL or SL

7 People drunk in RL on SL

    8 People who aren't genuine

9 People who have closed their minds off to anything new being good

  7. I'm sitting at Adult hub right now with A helper "mister X". He is a very good guy, removes griefers, helps new comers, and keeps everyone happy, he is not alone either. There are a quite a few here that make Adult hub a success. Many new comers get help and feel comfortable here, and they return. I think LL should ask the managers of this sim for a few pointers. Generalizations never help

  8. I think its very simple. Most new players that I have seen in the last few weeks at Adult Hub are looking for a few of the following things.

1 Help customizing their avatar (unpacking boxes and using their inventory, editing appearance, skins, shapes, AOs etc)

    2 Making friends

3 The "so what do you guys actually do on SL?"question

    4 Sex

And not necessarily in that order.  I think If we are serious about retaining newcomers, the first point needs to be addressed, whether by LL or by giving some of your own time to helping newcomers.  Some experienced players will ignore new players as it seems to be more trouble than its worth explaining how it all works.

Making friends is an important point, something we can all look at ourselves as being partly responsible for. We all judge the book by its cover to various degrees, I have found that you can find some good people behind those avatars if you take 5 minutes to just talk to them.

Activities are well covered by LL I feel, most new people can find something fun to do with a few clicks of a mouse. The  helpers also do a good job here.

The forth point is self explanatory.

  9. Ya Griffin, I am also less than impressed. All the pics I posted of my collaring ceremony on Friday are "being processed"

I am hoping that somehow they will appear and I'm reluctant to delete the message

Luckily friends have sent me copies of theirs inworld so I have the whole thing back. But there's a gap on my wall where there should be the most important posts of my whole experience in SL.

    Not happy

    @ Perrie too

And gripe of the day I have, which continues from yesterday's gripe of the day really, the bl**dy fools who get themselves suspended are like the kids that used to sit at the back of class disrupting, and dragging us all down to their level. Hated it then, hate it now. 'no fair they don't ban them altogether'. :matte-motes-wink-tongue:

A little SL inception. There are fools even here who sit in the back of the class, talking over the lecturer. Smoking in class (smoking in SL really? I mean who had that brain fart?) some feather brain telling us all how hard her new roll up keyboard is to type on. And when little 'ol me tells them to raise there hands if they have a comment, how the vitriol flows. Made me want to find my soap and wash their avatars mouths out.

/me smiles happily as the lecturer boots there sorry backsides to wherever they came from

gripe of the day done :) have fun :)
