I did use google. I thought that was apparent. blogs do not always give surls. and palegirl seemed to only give information if you joined their group. Not interested in being held hostage. I liked the old skin fairs as well.

I never went because no url was ever produced on any site I visited. too bad I missed it. think it was same with last year. no SURL posted anywhere.

I found these glorious shows which are fine for my slink feet but not for my belleza feet. I dont know what keywords to use to search for something like it. I know Ive seen others. Its not "gather toe". Tried that. I dont know enough about fashion in RL to search on the marketplace. When I use firefox it prompted me to select which viewer I wanted to open SL urls. Obviously I chose the secondlife viewer. When using chrome however, the browser defaults to using Alchemy. If I delete Alchemy it defauls to firestorm. it never asks my permission. Ive tried googling to no avail. I think I have my mac set that SL should be the default for sulr. If I use safari it also uses the correct Sl viewer. I cant figure out how to make chrome obey. Anyone have an idea. In case you are confused here is what happens. using browser to look at cool things in the marketplace, decide to go to the inworld store, clock on inworld store, browser opens the "map" where you can click to teleport and this will open the SL viewer. works properly in firefox and safari. though with the caveat it opens the viewer but always drops the SURL. So I end up having to copy and paste it into the viewer anyway. and as for chrome.epic fail. Would like to get chrome to at least open the viewer I want not the ones I dont want at the moment.

Maybe I do not understand what is happening but seems to me if you take a blender object then import it to sketchup then export it you are not comparing sketchup to blender in a clean fashion. lets say object is a crate with a texture that makes it look like a crate. Id like to see object created in blender. go from blender to SL Next create same object in sketchup. go from sketchup to sl, No importing from one application to the other. To be clear you would create the same crate, from scratch, in each program. Texture in each program. Take a screenshot to show what they look like in each program. Then screenshot each of those items when uploaded to sl. And detail if there were any problems. hope that makes sense. Have not seen anyone do that yet. and Im on the fence about sketchup which seems to be simpler and easier to use than blender.

Just got the answer to my question with regard to anything that was "system". If I do not own the textures used to make the clothes then I cant use the clothes in an applier. And thank you Angeocoo for your response as well. I have been able to wear some of my fav mesh items with a little tweaking. But was really hoping not to lose all my lingerie. Sounds like Im out of luck! IDk why this was so hard for me to wrap my head around. I should have made the connection! DOH. Thank you Angeoco!

Gotcha. light just went on! Thank you! that makes sense to me since I actually know what the three skin textures you refer to are. Didn't make the connection. DOH. SO, can still use skins which I created and my full perm skins which I purchased in omega appliers for my mesh body parts. However, the insane amount of moola I spent on "system skins: is down the drain. Going forward, never ever purchase a skin from a creator unless s/he has made them with appliers I need for each of my body parts. And preferably only creators who support multiple mesh bodies as Im prone to changing out my body parts. Otherwise what fits belleza today will be down the drain with Lara tomorrow.

I purchased like 20 of the most lovely poses ever the other day. And I purchase a pose stand hoping to pop them in so it makes it much easier to switch between poses. Who wants to go back to inventory for every pose?! But nope. they wont go into the pose stand. Pose stand is 100% full perm. Poses are copy no transfer. ugh. if I make the pose stand no transfer then could I put the poses in it? Do people really make poses and not intend the user to put them into a stand or a menu? Maybe a menu instead of a stand? yes, I know nothing. Thats why Im asking for help. I wouldnt have purchased so many poses if Id known I could not put them into a menu or a stand for ease of use. Im lazy. I really hate double clicking a pose, telling it to play, turning it off and then repeating with the next pose. seriously just want to click between poses and have it change. Just like in the demo.

As for the body parts. Here I now have head, body feet and hands by different creators. Every skin I purchased for belleza has not applier for hands or head. What is the point of a skin that doesnt match all other body parts? If I understand correctly, I just need to make sure that ANY skin creator I purchase from includes appliers for my belleza body, my lelutka head and my slink hands and feet, or that the skin creator has included an omega applier and that all my body parts work with omega? Does anyone else find this as daunting as I do? Spending way too much time trying to get simple things to work. :-(

Lost track of this thread and trying to make sense of what people are saying. I dont think anyone understands what I actually said. when I purchase a skin -- yes, I own that skin for my avatars personal use. I never said own it as I can sell it or transfer it but when I check object profile I am yes, listed as the owner. and I own it as I can wear it. Wear it should mean that I can also put it into an applier and wear it on a mesh body that I also own for my own personal use. But it sounds like I cant do that because its not transferable, even though technically, Im not trying to transfer it anywhere. It seems kind of silly to say you cant use an applier to apply skin you own to a body you own. since the applier could be limited by its content. i.e if it has my non-tranferable skin in an omega applier then that particular applier would become no transfer as well. And why cant we do that? I dont know enough to know if thats what the issue is. I think Lindens need to figure this one out.

Hi, I have now a great mesh body but also a lot of clothes which I still love from using regular Sl body. I think I ask this question before but cant find answer. so apology if repeating. How can I use my favorite bikini and things with my new mesh body? I think an omega applier? But I cant figure out how to do this. Is there maybe a video or a step by step guide that says hey, take this applier, wear it like a HUD? then what drop my things onto it? I don't think thats correct. But I do not know. maybe its another system thats easy? I have belleza body for female and adam body for male avatar. Also cant figure out how to use skins when my head is not belleza. I have lots and lots of lovely skins. same situation. how to use these with some kind of applier so I can have same skin for head and body and feet? feet and hands are slink. Even when I buy a skin says work for belleza then it no works for my head and hands and feet! Thank you for help. Seems I should have figured this out by now but it just goes over my head. I think maybe Im just missing one step.

I just bought the most gorgeous poses and Id like to make it easier to switch between them by making a HUD or a menu? Maybe a poseball works? Ive got like 20 poses. No idea how to start and what to put them in. If anyone can point me to a how to or give some advice thats great. Im not opposed to purchasing some item premade that lets me drop them in but if memory serves it should be easy to make my own. I just dont recall what verbage to look for to get myself in the right direction. A good search is only as good as the proper terms used.

I do not think it infringes on copy right to use a skin you legally have the right to modify and copy on a mesh body you legally own. Its no difference legally than using the old skin on your system body. Im planning to do this myself with skins I purchased and skins I created. Its my understanding it can be done using developer kits from the mesh body manufacturer. Or create your own Omega skin applier. I don't think its physically possible if you can not copy or modify. But do not quote me on that. I have not tried it yet. Google how to create your own skin applier for Maitreya, or Omega etc. All that being said, I haven't had the time to figure it how to make my own appliers yet. Otherwise Id share that info. All I know is that it is possible, sanctioned and completely legal as long as you have the right to copy (and maybe modify) it and are not planning to resell it. i.e for your own personal use on your own legally owned mesh body on your own personal avatar. If you have any doubts open a support ticket and ask the lindens directly about the legality of using an ancient linden skin on a mesh body you purchased. Also, think most of the free linden skins from back in the day were actually provided by a skin creator who put them in the public domain. But, cant recall where I saw those skins. Was eons ago. Maybe google linden skins, public domain or something like that.

Ive never heard of Horizons parcels or mole made houses. Is this linden land? something new? Ive been around a long time in terms of years but out of touch the last two years due to work issues. so my knowledge is really behind the times.

that is exactly what I thought. But I went to several of those and the demos did not have a system skin to try. Or they had the system skin but no demo for slink. I wont buy unless I try. Some did have omega and the system but I had on the demo body and could not get the omega demo to work. My goal may be impossible. I like to see if I can find skins I like before I decide on the mesh body. Because they are sooooo expensive. Im willing to bet the problem is with me not knowing how to make the omega work with the body. Im not aware of WOW or Lumae. If you have links for them handy I would love to check them out. Sometimes for me, half the problem is knowing where to look. Im more familiar with where to go for female bodies skins and the like. Not at all experienced with the male. Thanks for your feedback!

I spent a year looking off and on before I found a mesh body I wanted for my female avatar. So, I did not assume that the original poster had found "the" dream mesh body in all of SL. As I previously noted, I have Adam for my male model and also, a year later, Im still looking for something else. I have two male models. I like variety. And Im hoping for a better alpha experience. After another 6 hour search I came up empty due to an inability to match skins to head and body and alas perhaps my own ignorance when it comes to using Omega appliers. The more people talk about something the greater chance creators may pick up on the topics and take what we are saying into consideration. People who care listen and care what you have to say even if its not glowing praise. As for the timeliness of a response, I have threads I started myself that never once in all the years Ive been in SL ever got a response. And other posts which sometimes a year of two later got some helpful feedback. Granted I might have already found the answer, elsewhere in that amount of time. But I still appreciated the response because I know, sooner or later, someone else is going to have the same questions that I did and or do. Like me they may have googled looking for an answer and like me found something leading back to the SL forums. So if my ancient post gets a helpful answer a year or two later, and it helps someone else looking for what I had been looking for...I think thats fantastic! Ive been around since 2004 with one avi or another. In my experience chatter and discussion in groups is often less productive than posting in the forum. The creator isnt often online and wont get the message or even see the chatter. You can send the creator a private message but that also is hit or miss. While some creators like getting private messages. Most do not because they get capped. Most prefer a notecard but even that may get lost in their inventory or never delivered due to being capped. Great support depends on a creator being open or receptive to criticism and or being helpful. You might assume the brightest most talented creators in Sl would all be receptive. Thats not usually the case. Sometimes the creator it completely receptive but some of the little monsters in a group feel they need to speak for the creator and bite your leg off instead of offering supportive, helpful information. But of course that often happens in the forum as well.

Alwin Im sorry to hear that you were not interested in my experience with TMP and Adam. I especially enjoyed the part where you personally felt people would benefit from you informing me that my experiences had no value for you or anyone else. Totally made my day! :-)

About to pull my hair out. My fav skin for my male model is Redgraves "Craig". The creator provides Slink feet and hand appliers but nothing for the slink physique body. Is there a way I can use the redgrave skins and make my own applier? My thinking is no. which brings me to my second problem. I spent hours and hours trying to find a vendor that would have a skin for the body and my the system head. but it seems anyone who has appliers for slink body does not also give the system skin...so no head matching whatsoever! There has to be a vendor that provides the skin for an old fashioned avatar and a slink body. I started at the slink site where they have a list of vendors that supposedly support slink. they support slink hands and feet but rarely did I find they supported the body AND provide a skin for the old avatar. In fact many on the list didnt even exist anymore. There is a lot out there if you have a slink body and a catwa head. I dont want a catwa head. I dont want a TMP head. I just want the option to use slink body, or no slink body and support my models old fashioned system head with my favorite Redgrave Craig. Alas I dont know enough to know how to make it happen. I found some Omega appliers but when I purchased the demo and tried to use it not only was there no skin demo for my head nothing happened when I was wearing the slink body and added the omega demo. Operator error I guess. I looked for information, help cards. Nothing. Im so stumped. :-(

TMP has a great body. TMP has a terrible shopping experience. I avoid it and hope someone else will come up with as nice a body and face, or that TMP will wise up and change the shopping experience (which is not likely).

I have Adam for my male model. Right out of the box, "Adam" is a little too boyish and too long and too thin. You can, however, thicken up the waist a bit on the Adam mesh body and make the face look less boyish with a few tweaks to your own shape. When I was done tweaking I liked what I had more than any of the other bodies Id tried. This was about a year ago. Hoping there are new things out there now. Preferably bento. The biggest problem I have with Adam, which I was not aware of before purchasing, is in the HUD alpha layers section. You can turn off everything except the butt. The back of the waist and the back of the upper thighs also do not turn off when I click off the front of the body. The back of the body literally stops at the waist in the HUD. Most parts of the legs turn off front and back by clicking on the front. Im not sure why it fails with regard to the tushie. Even if it did work I like more control. I might not want the tushie turned completely off simply because Im trying to hide the package side of things. Because Adams creator has never responded to any messages Ive ever sent (in hopes it was a bug that could be fixed), Im off to find a different body that I can recommend to a guy friend. Im hoping "Slink" can be adjusted so that its less boyish as well. And that it has a proper alpha layer system. Clothing is a HUGE problem with ANY mesh body you buy. You seriously MUST have a great alpha layer controller (male or female) if you want to wear any mesh clothing you already own. Otherwise, kiss all your clothes goodbye and limit yourself to purchasing all new clothing from the few designers who "may" cater to the body of your dreams. Me? I don't like limitations.

Hi, I have a logo head, which I love. and a belleza body, which I love. Instead of trying to tint the skins that come with the body to match the head Id like to use the skin that comes with the logo head. Obviously, as it has the face I like. But the same question applies to any skin I might purchase. HOW on earth do I use these skins with both the head and the body? As far as I can tell Belleza has no way of allowing me to add a skin to the hud, and neither does the logo head. Ive been told use Omega but Ive no idea how to do that and the videos I found tell how to activate the omega for the belleza body, but that was not helpful as it didnt show me how to use it. Im guessing I have to make my own hud? Not what Id prefer to do. Since all of this has been around awhile surely someone has made an applier system that lets you drag your skins into it and then use it on various mesh bodies? Im stumped and I dont know enough to know what to look for.
