The house you're assigned is completely random, so it was just luck that I ended up there! My only tip is to refresh the "customize your home" page over and over (https://land.secondlife.com/en-US/lindenhomes/land-selection.php), and it took over a week to get one. If you see a Bellisseria option pop up, type gibberish for the name (you can change it later) & click the terms/conditions checkbox on the next page as fast as you can.

I haven't done a ton of exploring yet, what makes you name those 4 locations? I hope you're able to get into one of them though!

I really hope it doesn't become Mainland 2.0 -- that's one of the reasons I didn't initially jump to get a house. After seeing everyone's pictures and wandering around myself over the weekend though, I wish I'd grabbed one when I could! Now I'm just at the mercy of the refresh button/people abandoning (until the new places are released).

Hey everyone, I'm newish (~3 months old) and am hoping to meet some cool people to hang out with! I'm Claire, from northern VA, and in my late 20s ... Sorry, hope this helps! We became friends over the weekend, but their username only shows in my friends list when they're online ... when they're offline it's not there. Was just wondering if that's normal, a glitch, or does it mean they defriended me? I also only have like 3 friends so far ... so there isn't a paging issue :-P

You sound like my type of guy :-P I'm also new and looking for friends, and maybe more if the right person comes along. I'm in my late 20s as well, and love exploring new places/doing new things in SL, which kinda sucks when you're by yourself. I'll add you when I login tonight

I've been on SL for a couple weeks now (only a few days in world due to computer issues), and have a question about offline friends. One of my friends doesn't appear in the offline section of my friends list -- only online. I thought it was only possible to hide when online, not offline? I hope that makes sense ... I've tried searching for the answer but couldn't really find anything. We were getting along pretty well so I doubt they defriended me? Thanks!
