  1. Hi, i'm experiencing the weirdest issue and i'm hoping someone out there might be experiencing the same thing or have any ideas? I have some customers saying that some of my items are not completely loading for them only some of the faces will load. I'm not using any transparencies on the textures. The items are not high complexity nor are they extremely high poly. The issue also isn't affecting everyone. I'm working from 3DS Max and importing into SL through Firestorm. I can't seem to see the issue on my end. One of my customers mentionned this: "I just would like to give better informations about that issue but it is very complicated cos it happens to some of my friends but not all of them, happens wearing legacy but even, few times, wearing maitreya, happens on a quality pc but doesnt happen using a old laptop, also changing lod doesnt matter just as the advanced lighting or the graphic quality, so it seems something random and out of any apparent logic."   5. Hey Chip, I'm new to fitted mesh and all i've done so far is import the file from the wiki into max but I dont seem to be having any issues with scaling. I'm also using max 2012 and the latest official viewer. I have my display and system units set to meters and i'm importing the file as centimeters.

Ohhhh i think I get it now, I was really confused as to why there weren't really any weights associated to the old bones when I checked the file. It makes perfect sense why they added new collision bones. Now there are a total 26 collision bones just like the old bones.
  7. I think Second Life would really benefit from a separate opacity mask channel/material. It would allow creators to have alphas on mesh and not just on the SL avatar. People could layer creations from different creators to create outfits. As it stands now, the only way to layer mesh clothing is to plan ahead and make it fit together. I think with a separate opacity mask channel you can give users different options to hide certain parts. It would be great as it would allow people to finally have full mesh avatars actually usuable with other people's clothing/accessories. What do you guys think? Is this something that has been suggested / brought up? Is it even doable in SL? (most gaming engines have this feature UDK/Unity)
  8. Oh and also materials on on the default SL avatar would be amazing. As of now the shading on the face is umm...how can I put this lightly...ugly. I think it would benefit greatly from some new normals.

Ok Rolig, you must not know how to read because I said in my second post that I am not asking for someone to write me a script anymore nor am I looking for a scripter (I even changed the post title). I am looking for people to discuss how this is possible. Obviously the basic SL permissions don't allow me to do this so there has to be some sort of scripting involved. This is the forum to discuss scripting related problems is it not? Now, if you don't have anything constructive to add to this discussion, I suggest you keep your comments to yourself.
  16. I want to make an item for a gatcha machine. A box that is TRANSFER (as in the recipient can use this box and trade it with their friends) but once the person opens the box, the content is now NO transfer. I created a box, I set next owners permission to transfer . I put stuff inside the box that is NO transfer...the box now becomes NO transfer to the new owner. Do you see my problem now?
  17. In that case let me rephrase my initial question....let's discuss and share our insight on this situation. There is a designer, Pivaaca, that has managed to create a box that has TRANSFER permission yet the contents are NO TRANSFER...Anyone have any insights on how this might be achieved? Hello, i was wondering if anyone has a script or know where i can buy a script that allows a package to be no copy/no mod/TRANSFER and then when the recipient opens it, the content is copy/mod/NO TRANSFER? I really need this script to use in a gatcha machine and i'd be willing to pay for a custom script if anyone can provide this. Thank you
  19. Hello, am I missing something or does a rigged mesh item increase the land impact? I made a shirt that has about 11 LI and then after rigging it and uploading it the LI jumps from 11 to 23? Is that normal? Am I missing something? I work in blender, I usually copy bone weight, parent the object to the armature, modify the weights until i'm satisfied and then I just export it with the armature modifier still in the stack.
  20. Ok I tried looking at the file and I have absolutely no idea what i'm looking for or what it means. I did figure out that: -If I apply subsurf modifier to each object then export as linkset = GOOD -If I join the objects and DO NOT apply subsurf and export as one mesh = GOOD -If I join then apply subsurf or apply subsurf then join = NO GOOD
  21. I checked and the names are different. I only have an issue if I join them together and then export it.
  22. When I upload as a linkset it's fine but the minute I join it, the material faces get all screwed up in Second Life. I want to join it together so that I can rig it.
