Why this elucidation? In need of attention? Or just provocative? Who do you want to convince about what? Or is it just some sort of a complaint, being gay but not stepping out of the closet all the way for reasons you only know? What is the use of discussing religion anyway? You either believe there is some god figure, or you know there's just not. Endless and useless. What is the importance to rub in your way of thinking? Who cares if you are religious. Good for you of course. But to know why and how is totally irrelevant. It is just as important as to know you like or dislike peanut butter and why. Do you ever really enjoy yourself? (Besides placing threads like this maybe :smileywink:) Maybe it is time to let go the past (yeah yeah it made you to who you are now) and focus on the now and here! Maybe it is time to stop to obey rules made by others! Create your own rules! It will save you a lot of wrestling I bet. And find yourself a nice dude, do not longer deny and ignore yourself! Rely on yourself and not on some books written by people who also never could prove there is a god! (Maybe they had magic mushrooms too back then!) Lighten up. YES IT DOES! It was a bit of a gamble to switch to ML right after the release. I only think back to when Lion was just released. SL was not much fun for months after that. And now, SL loads faster then it ever did, shadows and light all good. (So far that is lol). But, when first run SL on ML it won't let you! Security settings. At default you can only run software obtained via App store. Just go to preferences/security/first tab and check the lower radio button (at least in the Dutch version), the one that allows software from any source. iMessage is great and some the other ios features. That was the reason to get ML anyway. I hope I am still positive after some serious amount of heavy duty SL-time. :smileyvery-happy:

I'm not sure if it is the same as lying. When someone lies, he/she knows he/she does. It seems to me 9 out of 10 are not even aware (anymore) when those words are leaving their mouths. I am so sorry i felt i had to start this thread. Really are sorry. I'm also sorry that i have to think of all those people saying sorry for the most ridiculous things. So sorry about that. Like for example, sorry to have to say this, when someone is not responding to a reaction in the middle of a conversation instantly and then to say, sorry, i had to blow my nose. Sorry but that is way out of whatever. And sorry to say this, it is even worse when one say, sorry, i have to use the bathroom. Well sorry, just go and piss and then return. Sorry if i let myself go here. I feel sorry for those who think they have to justify every step they take, and then i don't even mention every move they make. Sorry for that! Why on earth (virtual or not, sorry) should one say sorry because of a cough or sneeze? Well ok, when i spray mucus all over someone's face, then i might say sorry. I cleaned my inventory out a couple of months ago. I have just <2500 items left. I use a couple of organizer HUDS now, and some organizers inworld. My system is not perfect yet but it is way better then the cluttered inventory it used to be.

The tricky part of buying surrounding land, or even a complete sim, there are other sims hooked up on the same server and they are absolute not neigbor sims per se. So you can do as good as you want, on another continent they can make your life hard. You can check neighbors here.

1: Agree 2: Uglyness is subjective. But of course, everyone hopes the new neighbor is making something nice of it. Personally i don't care too much if a store is ugly. I'm there for the products. But! It is at least a bit odd if some merchant makes nice stuff to sell it in an ugly store. Althoug! Scripters for example, are not always designers (or better usually not) so the product can be worth the money. I am sure some people really make the place as horrid as possible on purpose. But the most 'ugly' stuff, i believe, is made by people that are proud of their work since, for example, they never did creative stuff before. And so they can't see the uglyness. 3: Who should determine what should be deleted in a sim? But i agree so far, land that is abandoned already must be cleared from ugly stuff and turned in to rainforest or whatever.

Not sure if it matters, it is just that i can't recall from my early years there was so much abandoned and for sale. And i am happy for you that your mainland life is good. Really are. No matter where i settled on mainland it was always short term joy. Once even i was the very first owner of a new Oceanside sim, and within the month i had neighbors that started a club. 2 of them! Resulting in log in failures because of a over crowded sim. And this is just one example. But! That was mainland... stuff happened. BTW i think i am starting to think i mixed up a few things. Land for sale is not the same as empty dead land. And, mainland (or parts of it at least) can appear dead to me, it might as well can be the darn timezone bug thingy. :matte-motes-big-grin:

Oh for sure Mainland must stay. Not sure though if it is too much. It could be used in different ways. Less residential areas, more nature for instance. Or huge sandboxes. Or even the possibility to fight wars on a combat continent in order to obtain land (and then try to stay there).
