  1. What is the age requirement for accessing a mature sim?
  2. Every thing is great...but the cam control window is still way too big.. we need to be able to adjust that easily?
  3. I'd say get used to it. After using viewer 1 for 6 years, i was pleased to get a more updated UI, even if its not as simple to use, and did take a bit more work to get comfy with. LL has made a LOT of changes that have improved useability of V2,V3 already, since it was first released. I think that if more people would have supported it and tried to encourage more positive improvements instead of jumping off onto something mimicking V1, because that was easier, it would have encouraged even more improvements by now. I wouldn't want to go back to the old viewer or anything that even tried to look like it. That would be like going back to the '50's after living thru the 90's! You might hate cell phones because they are too complicated to use, but would you do without them?
  4. I'm just doing as it said-- contacting support?? The widget on the dashboard isn't displaying and it says if I see this again to contact support---ok---how about some specifics? who in support? what are they working on to fix it?
  5. I have also used it since it was first released. It has had some buggy issues, and building with it needs to be reconsidered, but overall I have apppreciated it a lot, especially the features that have come out with 2.5.1. and in general it just feels more "modern' and contemporary then the old viewer ( duh?). I give it a thumbs up, and figure it well develope nicely in the future! It was a little rough to move from the viewer I was used to for 6 years prior. but now I would never go back!
  6. Ok Ok - I have to yield to your argument- you are much better qualified than me to comment on the technical aspects of the viewer. Being basically just a "consumer" user, I was only looking at it from that type of usage. Which is "light" compared to people who need better tools to create content. I'm more concerned about camera function, messaging, and notifications, which probably are more of a pain in the posterior to a content creator than just a "wanderer" like me! So ok Touche!! youare correct! But I think we actually agree that -- yes it is a management environment problem. We just said it in different ways. The content creating people need that 10% factor of management work done properly or they cannot do the 90% creative work! And LL continues to make huge blunders! So you said it more succinctly.
  7. Being 6yrs+ in SL, I am one old timer who actually likes viewer 2. Of course there are things that still need fixed and or improved, but I think that the people who don't seem to like it have not taken the time and effort to really get familiar with all the features that it has. Most of the things i see people complaining about can be adjusted to suit, and there are many features that make it much more user-friendly than the old viewer. I am sure that when the original viewer was released there were a lot of things that people complained about - but there wasn't a "0.0" viewer to fall back on then. So we made do with what we had. Now there are many alternatives, so its impossible to make one viewer satisfy the varied needs. but for me Viewer 2 is a great improvement over 1.0. Re": the thread here----the growth does not look healthy - from any standpoint, so something new needs to be done to get it moving UP! It's as much the managements fault as it is the users. The users have created 90% of the content, so how can the burden be on anyone else? Other than creating the environment? Both are crucial.
  8. My Online time has increased dramatically, and will probably continue- since I retired from my RL job this month! And what else can I afford to do unless its virtual!
