  1. Parte Tenebrosa is an island on its own that has just reopened with the aim of creating a Northern European/Canadian ambience with a touch of mystery.  The parcels for rent are ready for terraforming and building within the loose theme.  Tasteful Gothic and Fae builds and the like are fine as well as normal houses.  Terraforming is permitted.  Humans and non-humans are welcome.  Communication among residents is provided via the island group but is optional, and your privacy is important.  There is no planned rp but ideas are welcome.  The rental rate is very reasonable at L$3,900 per week for 5,000 prims. There are 3 quarter-sims available in the NW, SW, and SE of the region.  Take an Info notecard from a rental box in the middle of the region and please read the Covenant enclosed in it.  Please enquire if you wish to have a smaller parcel; this could be arranged.

This is the part that gets me. They still get to take advantage of a deal that the rest of us can't get anymore. They got that deal when there was absolutely no assurance that the offer would end with them having this exclusive advantage over everybody who came later. And yet they feel entitled to b!tch about how they're able to screw everybody else by only half as much as the windfall they got when the offer was withdrawn.

There are grandfathered regions for sale now and then (though not mine, it's taken).  The transfer fee is the same as the buy-down fee was - $600.  So you can still get the benefit if you keep your eye on notices here or in the group For Sale by Owner.  (There is another group but I can't remember the name).  Purchase prices on resale of grandfathered regions have gone down following LL's announcement though I have no idea whether they'll swing back up next month.

  3. Offers please for grandfathered standalone full region by 10pm SLT on Thursday 5th July, to include remaining tier and transfer fee (state whether you wish to pay transfer fee of $600 to maintain gf status or $100 if not).  Tier date is 28th.  Highest bid will win unless no sensible offer is made, in which case the sale will be withdrawn.  Please note the region is available to rent if preferred.

  4. Full region for commercial or residential use at L$13,900 per week.   Estate powers; terraforming, region rating change, bans etc.  Information is in the Covenant - choose Info from the rental box in the north-east corner.

Please note there is an offer to purchase this region but the purchaser has not initiated transfer.  A tenancy will take precedence over a slow sale.

.. [I actually sat through the first of the Town Hall sessions, the one with Golf Lady (unless she showed up for the second session, too -- which wouldn't be that out of character really)....

Oh yes, I'd forgotten about her.  She plonked herself on top of the lady sitting next to me in the front row, then stayed there until the lady gave up and moved away.  She certainly made herself a squeaky wheel with her Voice question!  On and on and and on ... I'm surprised it was tolerated.

  6. I'm looking for clothing for men and women suitable for roleplay in a fictional part of 1940s Morocco, mainly for those playing European residents and visitors (think Casablanca).  I've seen plenty of attempts at authenticity, and bundles of 'vintage' items that are more imaginative than genuine.  Please get in touch soon if you already offer, or are willing to take on a commission for, fashion that is irreproachable.
