  4. Hi I have tried rezzing at 250, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000 metres - all give me the same message over my group land. I thought mesh creators would have some insight. If this is not the correct forum please advise. TY
  5. Hi I bought an expensive skybox built using Mesh. For some reason when I try to rezz objects inside this skybox over my land I get a message says 'Owner does not allowed rezzing". The skybox is right in the middle of a group sim when own. When I try to wear an object and drop it it rezzes outside the skybox. Friends have tried rezzing inside as well and get the same message. I discovered I can rezz on the roof and drag the items inside. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening? I have other mesh built skyboxes as well and this doesnt happen in those. Any advise would be appreciated. TY
  6. Hi wishing everyone a very Merry Xmas :smileyvery-happy: I have bought a stunning skybox built in Mesh. The floors are set to Prims. I have rezzed at 1700 metres. On the ground we have sculpt snow cover. For some reason when I try to rezz furniture on the floor I get 'Owner doesnt not allow rezzing here". I am the landowner and have my Group active. Strange thing is I can rezz on the roof without any problem LOL. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any tips or suggestions on how to solve this problem would be appreciated. I have tried rezzing the structure in another sim and I can rezz furniture on the floor. That sim has no sculpt snow ground cover. Cheers

  9. Absolutely outrageous! Any viable rl business would realise that a stable community that has been successful for a while is more important that one dance club on one 4096 sq metre parcel. I am so upset this has happened to you Triple and all the other residents that were part of Dobinson. I plead to Lindenlabs to show some care with residents who have made a long term commitment to SL - the long term tenants of Dobinson are examples of the backbone of the SL economy and its spirit. Destroy that and it will sap the energy and wonder from SL. My sincere respects to all the residents of Dobinson.
  10. Hi Oskar l own a number of mainland sims. My home sim uses SecondLife Server and our 4 adjoining sims use Bluesteel. Is there a Wiki or KB reference that would help me understand the difference between all the server types pls. l'm assuming Tigre, Magnum, Bluesteel and SL Server support different sim types? Also can you point me to a feature list for the servers and planned future changes/additional features that uses non-technical language please. Cheers
  11. Thanks for all the work on improving the functionality and performance of Viewer 2. Adding changes and improvements recommended by users is really appreciated. I'm still concerned about its basic usability though. From my experience l find that the onscreen navigation elements a little confusing and difficult when lm doing building and editing tasks on screen - I think its got something to do with "the flow of control." I know its cultural but l tend to read a screen from left to right and top to bottom. Having all the notifications and IMs appearing bottom right (means l often miss messages and notecards that ppl send) and the slider panel/window on the right l feel adds to perception of complexity. I found this which explains what l mean. http://www.sapdesignguild.org/community/design/layout1.asp#aspects
  12. How close should a skybox be rezzed in a mature region to a skybox owned by another landowner or tenant on neigboring parcels?
  13. Hello Rod and welcome to SecondLife. Can l urge you to make a key priority in 2011 to establish a governance system that includes residents in decision making. We have had a big focus on technology (which needs to be continued) but now we need to promote involvement in developing strategies and policies that involve residents. Please remember the foundation of democracy in the USA - the Boston tea party - no taxation without representation! I would urge you to establish Resident Councils that represent creators, shopowners, clubowners, landlords and general residents. Now is the time to take SL to the next level. I wish you well and invite you to visit our mainland community whenever you want. Merry Xmas and all the best for 2011. Please spend time in SL and get to know our concerns and issues.
  14. Heya Jack all the very best for the future. I know you have taken the right decision - its best to move on and find new opportunities and challenges. I just want to say have nice long English beer and remember your achievements in SL and draw on some of the lessons of past mistakes and errors of judgement. No one is perfect not even me LOL. But l know you probably did your best! Warm regards and cheers, David
