    What Happened to the Moon?

    All I know is in the past couple of weeks I seem to be having trouble with various lighting which is messing with taking photographs. I've found ways around it but tonight it's causing a real problem because I can not seem to get the moon to show up at all, and I absolutely need it in the photo I'm shooting as I'm recreating a famous painting and it's a key element of the image. I've tried every possible light setting and nothing works.

    The only thing I haven't done yet is log into the official viewer because I'm all set up for the shot in Firestorm and the official one had to be upgraded (I never really use it) which means I'd have to log out of FS to do that. The thought of logging off and on again and recomposing my shot isn't very appealing - especially since I already got screwed up when some jerk in a dog avatar literally ran across my naked body (on my own huge piece of land where like, nobody ever visits for no reason) and insisted on it being his right to oogle me (and then I insisted it was my right to eject him). 

    Ok, anyway...what gives? Moon please? Or am I just tired and missing something obvious?

     

    Are you using Firestorm viewer? Did you ask in Firestorm group what gives with the moon lately?

    You sound a bit tired tbh, and things are stacked against you (the jerk in the dog suit for one thing). Read the signs, log off, have some sleep, come back in the morning. You'll maybe sort the moon issue out and recomposing will not be such a big task after sleep and rest.

    I logged in and went to see this and OMG it IS ugly - but maybe they is hiding from the police (I think it was a police car parked in the lot next door).

     

    Now I'm being judgy, blast and darn it. 

     

    Are security orbs allowed? Yup they got one of them as well.

    What might be an eyesore to one likely looks great to others.  We all have varying opinions of what is aesthetically pleasing.  Personally, there is quite a bit of what I've seen in the houseboat area, and a bit in the traditional housing area, that is not too pleasing to my eye.

    Bins is what don't please my eye. Maybe LL should think about having a separate trailer park for that kinda thing 😜

    I did also unfortunately spot a house with a default wooden prim wall around it.

    Edit: The wall now has a bamboo texture, but still equally as ugly. =(

    A lot of people (including myself) are still learning. And they might LIKE the bamboo texture. 

    While I was out on my explorings yesterday, I came across this house with an unusual furniture arrangement. If alls sticking out in a coupla days I might see if owner needs some help.

    Teleport Crashes

    I had an hour in world this morning and an hour yesterday and didn't have one teleport crash/failure. Maybe some people are  blaming LL for something that could be fixed their end, example, a scripted item they're wearing, or some other setting. I am too noob to be specific. Just saying I haven't experienced any of these teleport issues.

    I've had all those fence and wall pieces since the first day. If I were you I'd go to the mailbox and get another box delivered. If you still don't have all the pieces I"d put in a ticket or open up live chat to find out why. If you don't have it others might not as well and that's something LL would want to know about.

    I had just an hour explore time yesterday. Everywhere has a different feel about it, and I like all the little places where people can meet up - picnic on beach and such. And I know I am noob but I did like the rezzer of the coloured floating rings and looking at the land and houses from the sea.

    Farting noises, arf arf. Laughed in real life I have. Your kitchen is vending machines? I like that idea too. Can never understand why people want things like dustbins and ironing boards and chorey things in their virtual world but hey ho to each and every one you do what makes ya happy. Your pics made me happy though. Farting flamingo *grins.

    I am seeing some beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms, and I wonder if anyone is going to set their avatar sleeping in bed overnights or lounging in the bath for an hour. 

    Heck, not meaning to sound like a peeping Tom!!!!! Just wondr'in is all. Y'all got such nice homey places.

    Lost interest in SL

    I rarely have ever gone on SL, but when I do, it always feels special still to me, and I still like the familiarity of it when I do log in. I never went premium, but the new premium homes sure look attractive. Still won't go premium though till LL build some more, the new ones be snapped up quickly. I guess the old premium homes are gonna be part of a "slum" clearance programme with them being so old and dated now. 

     

    In some ways I am still noob, and I guess I like that. I came in this week to find an easter egg hunt going on and I was up for that and it was fun, made some new friends who took me to some new to me places. I read about people being fed up with SL, but if a person does anything too much it runs the risk of becoming dull and even a chore.

    EDIT: It looks like the location of the first egg was changed entirely and it is now super easy to find

    Please don't cry ;) Are the eggs meant to have anything inside them? They're just decorated eggs with the prize at the end of the hunt.

    I went back in to finish the hunt. To get access to the PaleoQuest A1 sim I had to click/accept a quest on the right hand side of the screen. Got in that way.

    The eggs were all super easy to find, and I made a coupla new friends while I was hunting. Love how some people get really into the seasons, like this li'l one.

    Believe me, love, he doesn't want YOU to reach out and find his hand. He's looking for cool and friendly people on his wavelength, and hopefully by now he will have received IMs inworld or via this forum and will be in decent discussion with them as we text speak. 

    As a newbie to the forums, could you not have been less harsh (or better still could you just not have ignored their original post altogether?!).
