  1. I keep seeing land for sale on the beta grid. I have no intention of buying any as the sandboxes on beta do me just fine. BUT, I always wondered. Does it count toward your allowed tier and do you need premium?. Is there even any point in purchasing land on the beta grid given its a beta grid and can change at anytime?.

    Enlighten me people!

I've looked and done the same, before and after the OC project died. i understand why there are multiple scripts but I don't agree with the practice. I would rather have one haystack..

Same. One thing I especially didn't like was how certain functions of the collar are spread over 4-5 scripts feeding messages to each other to function when they could easily be contained to just one script. Maybe a re write is in order xD, I think the OC community would be thankful ha

OC doesn't document how its scripts work internally, so you'll have to find the bits you're interested in yourself.

And it is a s**t show in there. I was once asked to modify the scripts for Open Collar as someone wanted some custom features added as well as others taken away and it gave a whole new meaning to the phrase "needle in a haystack". Once I had spent a few hours with the code I started getting to grips with where everything was but at the same time its a horror show inside of those collars.

There is no glory being sacrificed as a pawn in some game of dominance... if you want to make their deaths something other than meaningless start mourning them instead of glorifying their "sacrifice". Most had no choice. Do you even realize that most were conscripts and not willfully participating in "your" wars they died in?

Your ignorance makes kitty angry, folks!

We do mourn them. Part of the remembrance is to mourn but also to honour what their deaths meant for the rest of the world. Whilst I disagree with conscription and the way In which WW1 was conducted and how many people were repeatedly sent over the top to needlessly die, what the average soldier did back then still took all kinds of courage and bravery. Without them the world would be completely different to what it is today, we would have had a near entirely different history. Also, we don't just honour those who fought, we honour all of the people alive at that time who suffered as a result of that war. Friends joined up together for only one or none of them to return. Families were torn apart. Sons, brothers, fathers, uncles went, never to return home, or those that did were often horrible injured or maimed in some kind of way. It was a nightmare horror show for all involved and people suffered on all fronts whether in the trenches or back home. Glory is only one thing we attribute towards the remembrance of The Great War but its not meant to be a glorification of what happened back then per say its a glorification of what it must have took, under insurmountable odds, to do what those soldiers did, conscripted or not.

If this was meant to be a joke, it wasn't funny. I was diagnosed with Astigmatism when I was a child.

Hm, *peers into her crystal ball and fiddles around with the circuitry. Dammit, they just do not make these things like they used to. Money saving, cheap material using capitalists!. Now how am I supposed to know the complete ins and outs of every forum members personal private life if they are determined to sell me crystal balls that do not last five minutes.

To be honest, the comment wasn't even a bad comment. And your right it was meant as a joke. My advice to you is to be less offended by non-offensive comments on the internet and more offended by the things you SHOULD be offended by that are going on in the world right at this moment.

Nice that I replied with an Ex-Beatles’ tune then!

You had to do it didn't you...you have no idea what you have done. It's an unwritten rule of the UK that you NEVER mention the Beatles to a scouser. She's now going to fan boy out and subject us all to renditions of yellow submarine whilst waving a flag with ringos face on it.

Too late.  It's common and public forum knowledge that Jason belongs to me!  *puts coal and a tangerine in your stocking and flounces*

I believe the correct etiquette here is for me to challenge you to three rounds of mortal combat to decide who truy owns Jason's heart. You can pick two support warriors to help you in your battle from anyone on this forum. I'm picking Klytana (DPS Class) and Phill (Rogue Class) . Your move..

I have considered your proposal and spoken it through with my lawyers. Sadly we are going to have to decline your request for compensation because, as we explained in our last email, emergency nipple shrinkage is not a real medical procedure and none of our doctors are "trained by the emergency nipple shrinkage institute of Dortland". All we are legally allowed to offer you at this moment is a hearty Christmas greeting and s complimentary mince pie.

Im thinking about doing something oldschool, like going to the church, wearing a knitted pullover with a reindeer or some snowflakes printed on, maybe. Or even doing both at the same time.
Thats worth 2 Lindens, at least?

Sounds like a nice plan!. I think im gonna be spending it with family and then lazing out on SL after stuffing myself with muchos food.. And I will send your details to our financing department. A rather boring man by the name of Gary should be in contact with you within 24-48 hours

  11. Awesome, now that I have your attention.

What y'all got planned for Christmas this year?. Anyone up to anything fun?. Anyone know of anything fun and most importantly NEW happening in world for Christmas this year?. Come on people we only have weeks to go until Santa comes!. Can you tell I'm bored right now?.

Definitely hair. Can't even get myself to get rid of old freebie flexi hair that I will never wear! That and chokers and collars which I have a ton of -- very helpful for covering up neck seams. Yes that's why they have accumulated.

I still wear flex hair sometimes, I love the movement of flex hair as your avatar moves. Mesh is nice and all but 99.9/100 times its static and does nothing or its fake movement using bento bones that still does not give the same effect as flex hair flowing behind you as you walk

Love gachas. Please don't mess with them. I don't have a problem with having a toggle to turn it off for those who have trouble using "NOT". But gachas rock!!

By the way, I have no vested interest in keeping gachas as is. I do not sell any gachas. But I dearly love shopping for gachas in the MP.

On marketplace is one thing. You can usually get what you are looking for at a reasonable price tho I do hate it when the skew up search and welcome their removal to their own sub section. In world however, Gacha are a con, especially when it comes to events like The Arcade. You walk round, spend thousands and at the end have spent more trying to get those rares than if you had bought it outright from the creator as a sole product or set. Gacha are a money grab masquerading as a fun game.

P.S he did use NOT. Look at his image, gacha still showed up

  15. I don't know how much I agree with delisting objects. Sure the SL market has a ton of crapware that skews up search results but there are some seriously nifty gems hidden away on that marketplace that I come across occasionally and it saddens me a little to think they might vanish from the marketplace entirely. Especially if they are never to return if the creator has passed away or given up on SL entirely. Whilst we still have creators in SL, the pool of creators that create unique and interesting content that isn't a resale of a full perm item, a game ripped model or a duplicate of another developers creation isn't exactly gigantic. Even in world, most of the sims I visit are just one or two variations away from being exactly the same as another sim because rather than "create your own world" the players would rather just buy from the same set of developers over and over again. If LL are really going to start delisting products, even if they are old, then we need to start encouraging more people engage creatively with SL to start producing new products for other avatars to purchase. Sadly, I don't think that will happen all that much due to the massive learning curve required. Just my thoughts tho.

However, I do agree with anything that removes f***** gachas out of search results. Gacha IMO are the ultimate con products in SL.

We'd all be running around spouting 'Bloody this' and 'Bloody that' instead of "F'n this" and "F'n that"

Which could have been the more polite of two evils, now look at you all. You leave Britannia and in only a few short decades y'all overweight materialistic gun toters, obsessed with religion and lead by a diapered cheese puff. Should have stayed with the motherland and not given up your British creds ? #RuleBritannia #NoTeaForYou #TheseAreOurCrumpetsKeepYourGrubbyMittsOff

I know there are neo-Nazis in Germany waving flags....don't think the German people like them so much..

You would be hard pushed to find that in Germany. Sure they exist but Germany is the one place on earth that Nazism is not tolerated under freedom of speech. Even making something vaguely similar to a Nazi salute will end with you in a police cell, let alone waving a swastika around
