Items Not rezzing & are disappearing

Earlier today, i purchased 3 skins...when I attempted to rez them out to unpack them, I got the error *attemp to rez object failed* i believe is what it said. The items were never returned to my inventory either. That was a few hours ago. I logged on again just now in attempt to rez something, and again, it would not rez. No, it is not a sim problem, as I have tried on 3 diferent sims that have 3 totally different lag levels, and 1 was mainland linden home.  I have seen nothing on the grid status update, but am being told this has been happening a lot today.  How do i recover these items that have not returned to my inventory, but failed to rez??? I have cleared my inventory cache, more than a few times and relogged more than a few times, they still aren't showing in my inventory.

Unfortunately, the only way I know of to recover items lost this way is to IM the creators and ask for redelivery. Most creators are understanding when SL "eats" things, but some are not, so you never know.

This is not an unique issue Stephy.  My advice would be to raise a ticket with SL support, or if you are Premium, get onto Live Chat as soon as they are running and nag until you get a response.

These instances of lost inventory do seem to be becoming more frequent, and it maybe a sign of issues at the heart of SL that, despite Linden Lab's reluctance, can be fixed.

The Lab have never taken responsibility for losses in the system and it is high time that they acknowledged that there is indeed an Elephant in the room and acted accordingly.  The frequent bouts of Inventory server "maintenance" indicate perhaps that they are aware of an issue, but as with many other things, getting LL to admit that there is a problem is very difficult.
