I need to know how to change clothing items from shape category to shirt, pants, etc. categories?

I have some clothing items from freebie stores that for some reason are in the shape category. I need to be able to change them to the correct category so that I can wear them. I use Firestorm and I hope there is a way to fix this. Thank you in advance for any help/advice offered :)

 

Note (added April 17th): I did try double clicking the item but it does not appear and if I log out and then back in, I am a white egg because I'm not wearing a shape. At least I know that to fix that all I need to do is go into my inventory and double click my shape, lol!

Can't you just double click on them in Inventory (or right click and select "Wear")?  That's how I usually wear things, regardless of what their icons say they are.

in the process of slaping a kudo on loons answer it is exactly what you would do just click wear.
