0 Rolig Loon
The easiest way is to rez a fresh prim. While you still have your Build/Edit tool open, select its Contents page and click the New Script button. That will create a copy of the basic "Hello, Avatar" script in the object. If you selet that script and either double-click on it or right-click and select Open or Edit, you'll be in the script editor. Then you can modify it to your heart's content. If you want to learn how to write LSL scripts, there are other ways to do it too. Start by working through some of the tutorials at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LSL_Tutorial . Welcome to the scripting clan.
0 Nalates Urriah
There are function definitions in the SL Wiki. See the LSL Portal. Also, there is a group titled College of Scripting and Music. You can get help in that group. There are others that are good to. Find Builder's Brewery. They offer various building and scripting classes. The College group has a building with tutorials. SLURL. You can see functions, how they are written and how they work. Start at the ground floor and work your way up. Outside is general information about using viewers and SL.
