Wow Log in page freeze

Never had this happen before, now the log in page freezes so I have a hard time even putting in my password to log on. What the hell.... is it time to throw this pc on the scrap heap?? I bought it in 2009.

Have you updated your graphics drivers recently? Maybe you need to. 

Is your internet connection ok? Maybe you need to reset your modem.

You can post your computer's specifications here to see if there is anything else that might be causing your current issues, but often you just need a tweak of something to be able to get going again.

Your browser may be the culprit.  The log in screen is accessed via your browser of choice.  The only thing your viewer has to do with getting to the log in screen is it launches your browser and points it to the log in page where you enter your name and password.  It seems your browser is freezing or crashing.  When was the last time you cleared your browser cache?  Did you change your browser settings recently when you web surfing completely unconnected with anything to do with SL?  When was the last time you updated your browser (most have frequent security updates that everyone should take as soon as they get them).

 

The problem is not necessarily anything to do with SL or the viewer you might be using........in fact that particular problem probably has nothing to do with SL at all.
