Second Life will be gone along every other Internet entity that hosts user generated content, they are asking these companies to monitor everything uploaded by the users, and if someone upload something that probably infringes copyright they can be shutdown. its an impossible task, millions of users upload content every minute, and there is not enough employees to check everything that is uplodaded, every second.

SOPA and PIPA not only will affect those few suspected of copyright inffrigment, but also the innocent.

i am against SOPA & PIPA.

I started a thread on SOPA and PIPA in the Merchants forum, because I think we may need to organize in defense of SL when crazy legislation like this comes along.  If it cost $50-$500USD to upload a file because Linden Labs had to check it for Copyright infringement before approving?  Those digital outfits I make would have to cost RL money.  The economy would change drastically.
