Question: when becoming premium land is received; can I open a shop on this land?

I'm thinking about becoming a Premium member. When becoming Premium I will be provided with a 512m2 free tier that can be used for a home. Is it also possible to use this tier for my shop? Will non-premium members be able to visit?

However as a Premium Member, you have the right to own a parcel 512sq m2 on Mainland without additional cost if you abandon the parcel with your linden home. In the new parcel (without the home) you can open a shop.

You can not open a shop in the "Linden Homes" sims, on the free 512 M2 parcel that already has a house on it.

But you can decline to request a Linden Home, or you can abandon the one you have if you already asked for a Linden home, and that will give you 512 M2 of free tier that you could use elsewhere on the Mainland, where use is not so restricted.

You would have to purchase that 512 M2 parcel from some other Resident, for a one-time purchase price. After that, yes, you could set up a small business on that 512 M2 parcel, and not pay a monthly tier fee, as long as you do continue to pay your Premium dues. But remember that 512 M2 only gives you 117 prims to work with, and that isn't very much for the building to contain your store, and the vendors to display what you want to sell. It can be done, but it's a pretty small merchant space.
