Museling
My partner lives in beijing china. He's noted for the last year his sl voice hasn't worked, he used many other voice programs but thinks the firewall may have something to do with it. Asking any other chinese residents if they are having the same problem and if there is a way to get around this or fix it. Trying to find out if its an isolated glitch or something more. -Chow
Kud Schapire
I got a hunch it could be a Chinese government firewall preventing her from using voice trough SL. From what I've heard they got pretty strict rules there, especially for looking up things on google or in general visiting foreign websites. Jonathan VonLenard
I was gonna say the same thing, it's likely the Great Firewall of China. Though I don't want anyone to get hurt, which can in China, the more people who stand against this crap the quicker China becomes free.
wiked Anton
at least China does it in the open, western governments do it under the banner "protection" or let corporate giants fleece their own people........(BTW , i live under a western govt)
Jonathan VonLenard
Man in China you wouldn't be allowed to say that, i'm against a lot of stuff our government does but let's not whine in the western world about stuff that real brutal governments do to their people. Is like the "99%" whining about the 1" when in reality they are the 1% when it comes to the world population.

You're perfectly able to talk about what is going wrong in your part of the world without belittling the things going wrong elsewhere. If everyone were expected to STFU just because things were worse somewhere else, no one would be able to say anything at all, anywhere. ...Dres
