Im pretty new here, not entierly sure where to start and looking for people to hang out with.

Also on the side i'm looking to start learning a job in game.

Anyway, any advice or friends would be appreciated :)

Hello Fiere and welcome to SL and SL Forums. As i see you joined in today! Some suggestions:

1. At first you have to download the Viewer if you have already done it. You can find it here. After you install it and you log in using your username and your password.
2. Anytime you need help in world you can teleport to Greeter Island: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Greeter%20Is​land/143/118/46 Linden helpers are there bewteen the hours 10am-6pm PST, ready to help you.
3. Watch the threads here daily under "Make Friends" Category. Daily many other residents are looking for new friends.
4. You can use the Destination Guide in world to find new places to explore. If you use the SL Search you can look for events and clubs. Sorting the results by Traffic: High to Low you can find easily places with full of people.
5. Spend some time to fill your profile. Add some things about you and about the persons you want to meet.
6. About the job now, there are skilled and unskilled jobs in SL. Here is a guide. There also schools in world. Slowly you will learn about all.
7. For everything you need, don't be shy, just ask, or here or in world.
