Transferred L$ to the wrong avatar - How to get that back if the incorrectly paid avatar refuses

As I was going to pay one avatar, a second signed on and received the L$ 2200 instead. They are studiously ignoring my request to handle it politely like adults.

 

Is there a process for this or am I out of luck thanks to the oddities of the contact list?

Hello Alida. The only way to get the lindens back is to try to contact the avatar you accidentally paid explaining what was happened and asking politely for refund. If he/she refused, you have no something else to do.

"Oddities of the Contact List"?  So, the person you paid by mistake was on your Friends List??? Some friend, huh?

This is why I don't accept those "drive by" friends requests from every Tom, Dick, and Harriet.

And the answer is...no.  Unless your "friend" agrees to return the money, you are out of luck.
