Avatar Problem

My Avatar is stuck in the sky. If I stop animations, it stays the same. If I stop flying, she stands still. Otherwise, it looks like the avatar is above my view.  It's somewhere between the moon and the horizon of the location. I cannot get it to put its feet on the ground. I actually have no control at all. If I tp the second the avs feet hit the ground, it immediately and automatically flies back up into the sky. Can anyone help me? I just dont know what else to do.

Are you able to post a picture? That might help us get a grasp of exactly what you're talking about.

The obvious question - have you tried a relog? Could you be affected by something you're wearing?

Since it happens when you tp, also, do you have it set so that you fly automatically after teleport?

Do you have a tab "Stop flying" down at the bottom of the screen?  I know hitting "Home" makes you fly, but the "Stop flying" always appear at the screen. If you fly before you teleport, you fly when you come to the next destination. It's always been this way.

What viewer do you use?

LoneStarLady while this may sound silly but from your explanation two things can also cause this. Try the stop flying mode first, but you can also try the "page down key" to see if the av returns to earth.

Also get rid of any attachments to see if there isn't a script causing this to take place.

I did use the down key. The avatar did drop down it seems, but not to the ground.  At this point, it is stil thrashing like it's swimming in the sky.  I also did a detachment but the only thing was to detach was hair. I'm at my wits end here.

I have used the stop flying ... the stop animating ... it hasnt fixed it. Having said that, when I do the stop animating the av will just stand still in space. I have noticed on thing. If the ave is still and I hit the arrow keys, the av zips right back up into space.

I just dont get it. I do appreciate everyone's help.

I just thought of what my sister told me. I was in a certain location and dancing, partying and I took a joint and she said (she was there too) immediately flew up into the sky. I don't mind high buy this is rediculous. could that have anything to do with my issue.

THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP. I'M BACK ON THE EARTH. IT WAS THE JOINT THE AV SMOKED.

GUESS I WONT BE LETTING HER PARTY TOO MUCH ANYMORE.

I am having the same problem. I have detched EVERYTHING.

I have even switched to test female avatar.

I even deleted the phoenix viewer and reinstalled.

I even tried two other viewers. Nothing mattered.

I switched out my keyboard. It did nothing to help.

I cannot control my avatar.

I even re registered and set up a NEW avatar and the same thing happened.

She shoots up into the3 sky.

the page down lowers her a bit but she springs right back up.

The stop flying sometimes drops her for an instant but she springs right back up into the sky.

There is noithing I can do.

The problem has been going on for a week.

I am about to give up on SL completely.

I cannot get ANYWHERE and nobody seems to be able to help.

HELP!!!
