I'm not sure but this might be a grapgics adaptor issue, thought i'd ask here
Haven't been able to run viewer 2 for over  months now, thankfully i can run TPV's
I posted this in Q&A's but couldn't reply to that so posting it here again.

I can't replace my graphics card as i'm running a toshiba equium Specs here

Maybe someone can tell me if it's a graphics card problem.

When i install and run viewer 2 it starts and says initilizinf VFS
Then it says: Gathering Hardware Information, App May Appear Frozen.

And that's it, the viewer crashes.

I found a reply to simular post saying there is a work arround, to remove the winmm.dll from the viewer instilation,

No luck with that either.

I can run sl in all tpv's

I don't have any great advice.  Have you tracked down the SecondLife.log file and looked to see what is in there?

Have you defregged your hard drive?

Have you tried using Preferences to set your graphics as low as they will go before you log in?

Have you tried the most recent Viewer Beta (which has version number 3.x).

Goog luck.  Oh yeah, have you done a hardware test on your GPU?  They do go bad eventually, because of the heat.
