Does anyone know how to direct an avatar's gaze consistently during an animation that is filmed - for example look at the camera? Sorry if this is widely known but well, it's not widely known by me - any info or reference would be appreciated!

I have read that if you txt in range, the avatar will look at you. Thats not much control.

Hi, whatever the avatar alt-clicks on, gets most of the avatar's focus, that is the easiest way to do it.  It is possible to mix up how the different focuses work, we can even disable the ones that get in the way. The Show Look At page on the wiki has a quick run down of the different kinds of avatar attention, and how to change their priorities.

OK, looking at the wiki, now I understand a forum topic about creating a transparent object that you float where you want the av to look, and right click on it before filming. Which you would have to do when your UI is still on. Thanks!

Actually, you can Alt+Click anything with or without the UI. ()

I use a box, tapered to 0.75x0.75 with the short end of the taper facing away from the camera position.  The wide end of the taper is 100% transparent.  Before filming, I'll alt+click the smallest end of the taper and spin my camera around until my face is in the center of the frame. ()

Now... If there's only a way to manage moving the camera around while recording a single take... (._.)
