Reclaiming Land = Oops, deleted Prims

So, I own land and I wanted to change the deeded group name from group A to Group B. When I "reclaimed the land" half the prims on the sim went away. What did I do wrong? I am now in a similiar situation with a much larger amount of prims to lose and do not want to have to rebuild. How can I change the deeded group name without losing all my stuff?

Possibly when the land changed ownership, some of the objects were auto returned. Before you do something like this, use area search to determine who owns what and take steps to prevent unwanted auto return.

Did you have another parcel deeded to the same group so they were sharing prims? When you reclaimed the land that sharing of prims is no longer in effect, meaning it can only support the LI of that parcel by itself. Anything more than that and it will return objects until it is not over its limit.

Autoreturn would not have been a factor. When land changes ownership the autoreturn defaults to 0 (off) to prevent that very thing.
