Cannot use shortcuts to rotate or stretch in building mode. I use a MAC. Wrong settings?

Additional building tips are at  http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Build-Tools/ta-p/700039 .  Personally, I always use my mouse to stretch, move, or rotate prims.  If I want to change by a specific amount, I work with the appropriate numerical fields in Edit.

I do not use a Mac. I believe they update hardware drivers automatically but check for a keyboard driver update anyway. Have you changed keyboards?

Thanks for these but I still can'y use the shortcuts, so will continue using the mouse to stretch/move/rotate then.

Thanks, it's a laptop so keyboard has not changed, and checked all the drivers, which are up to date. never mind, I shall just continue using the mouse then!

Well, the only shortcuts relevant here aren't much anyway ... You hold down the CTRL key to pop temporarily into Rotate mode and you hold down the SHIFT key to pop temporarily into Stretch mode. With either "shortcut", you still have to use your mouse to make the actual adjustments.
