Phil Deakins
Yes. Use a good viewer instead. Any V1 viewer is much better.

Thinkerer Melville
You can can raise the land level on your sims. See this web page Terraforming, Starter page http://virtualoutworlding.blogspot.com/2011/05/kit-terraforming-starter-page.html Or you can reset the water level in the Region/Estate panel, terrain tab Open the Region/Estate panel this way (Viewer 2): World (top menu) ... Place Profile ... Region/Estate..Terrain... Water Height TKR PS. This has nothing to do with the viewer.
haar Shelter
Ha ha that's a g.ood one... What is your precious viewer one going to do when MESH arrives on the grid?. The only update that viewer one will get is to be able to ignore the mesh. IF THAT. To the original question asker: BTW, aside from the minor "danger" that the development viewer brings (i.e. It is not production) I would suggest downloading the lastest viewer 2 development viewer from the snowstorm wiki, to see if that fixes the problem. WADE1 Jya
Is it really to do with the viewer here? My bet is the OP (or perhaps an estate manager) has unbeknownst raised the water level setting. To change it back go to your SL main menu top of screen: choose: WORLD >> Region/Estate >> Terrain >> Water Height If you want your water to match to Linden water height choose 20 for this value :matte-motes-sunglasses-1:
