What does someone who is blind use to play in Second life

Two people i know cannot be on much due to vision issue what are good applicaitons for them?

no, one was a text base interface with no 3 d which makes it difficult to navigate. The second was a text to speech in gereral but cannot get it to work on Firestorm like the comment said it did. But now i have it drving me crazy
