Good question you have there! I have pondered this myself.

I wish I could 'zero' in with a solution (perhaps other replys will)

I do have a thought. You know how we can place scripted sounds i.e.. animals, water etc.. In multi places on land we own/rent.

I am curious if, instead of using the 'about land-sound/media streaming', what about an object with scripted streaming music be placed in each of the 9 areas you desire?

*Brainstorm of an idea and very raw*

My first con to this concept is: is it even possible (not being a short loop) to have streaming music in a script?

My second con to this concept is: IF it is possible to achieve this, I'm thinking how much resources this would bog down.

Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can revise/add to this brainstorm of an idea or have another solution.

I do wish you the best outcome. I like your thinking gadgetkitt2011 :)

Edit/Add:

If an orbit land protector can 'protect' within vectors inputted, could say a media tv be scripted to do the same?

i.e. enabling the streaming music to be heard in the areas you wish? x9 media tv's?

Thus enabling 'each' streaming music to heard within vectors inputted?

There are two ways. If you have scripted it properly, you can set parcel media to let each person experience a different media stream. See https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlParcelMediaCommandList and look specifically at PARCEL_MEDIA_COMMAND_AGENT to see how that can be done very effectively.

The other way is to use Media On A Prim (Shared Media), with which you can assign a different URL to each instance in the parcel.  See https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlSetPrimMediaParams to see how that is done with a script, or check out https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Category:Shared_Media for a description about how to do it without a script yourself. You could set up five or six prims, for example, and use MOAP to stream a different music or video URL on each one.  The disadvantage is that MOAP can only be seen by the 20 or 30% of all residents who are using a V2 viewer.   That's a big drawback for now.
