Sassy Romano
If you want an inworld response, it might be better to join one of the many scripting help groups.
Darkie Minotaur
As Sassy said - Inworld there are groups focussing on just that - but you can IM me to set up a basic system.
Innula Zenovka
I wouldn't normally suggest this sort of thing, but my business partner and I recently looked into setting up a web-based updater for our products. We rapidly came to the conclusion that, while it's the sort of thing I could do if I did a bit of research and asked here and in-world for help on anything I didn't understand, since we both trust Andy Enfield and Hippo enough to let them run our affiliate vendors, and since buying Andy's system (which he maintains) involves a one-off payment of a few hundred L$, it probably makes more sense from a business point of view to buy a solution rather than make our own. Like I said, I wouldn't normally suggest buying something rather learning how to make it yourself, but, at least for me, it's the sort of specialist thing for which I'm only going to make time to learn when I've got a project about which I'm enthusiastic that really requires it. Sassy Romano
I also agree with Innula on that. I made that decision about 2.5 years ago and apart from a couple of minor issues with the product she mentions, it does what it sets out to. In terms of effective use of my time, I couldn't justify the hours spent to save $3 to get to the same point although for other political and personal reasons, i'll gladly dump that same product in a heartbeat but lets not let that cloud the better business judgement for now. Finrod Ghennyn
I have made such a thing once. Its a complicated job, and you definitely need SQL knowledge for it. Its a pré. Use the LSL functions of HTTPRequest post/get. Like i sayed, its complicated and if you dont have time/capability of going into SQL, you should get something thats pre-made and adjust it.
