I noticed last year that a casino popped up in NKY near me and I was puzzled as we have never had casinos before and always had to travel across the river to OH or IN to gamble (other than horse races).

Now we have a casino and sure enough it has slot machine games very similar to the skill games that are in SL today. They are the same kind of slot machine games you would find in any casino, and many are interactive with "mini games". This particular casino does not have any card games you can bet on.

It would be nice if LL would update its policy because I love where I live here in KY but hate that I feel I should move across the river just to go to gaming sims in SL, which I very much used to enjoy with friends (many of who all can still go to these sims but I cannot join them).

Sadly I saw no suggestion part of the forum, so I am hoping a Linden sees this post and can pass on the information. Thank you!

Nevada has gambling yet residents there can't access Skilled gaming regions in SL.

You may want to contact LL directly as anyone here can only speculate.

Do you know how I would go about contacting them about this? I am more than happy to reach out to them. Thanks!

LL Rules are based on following state laws. It wouldn't be about LL updating their rules as much as LL being made aware of any changes to games of skill. Which to me seems like all states technically allow games of skill for money. It's called professional sports. They have to pay an entry fee say to participate in Nascar or the Kentucky Derby with a financal prize for the winner. Just a matter of updating LL with the new state laws that might apply.
