Advice on where to place a new region

Hello, I am getting a new region and I was wondering if it matters where it is placed? I do not have any needs to be near any friends and I am not using it for commercial purposes. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

no, the location is for most people not important, they will have to tp in anyway. ( btw close to friends will only make real sense when the regions connect.. as soon theres a void in between or even edging on a point of the region, the regions won't see eachother.(only attached to a full side will)

Thanks so much.  I'm clear and that makes things easy.

Only thing I'd say is to make sure it's very far from where the linden homes are or you will end up having it get moved on you at some point.
